Got a screw/nail in rear tire!
Only 600 miles on my GS and my driver's side rear tire threw off a warning this afternoon saying 16psi. Inspected the tire and I have a piece of metal that looks like a screw or nail stuck right at the edge where the tread meets the sidewall.
Anyone successfully patched a run flat?

I patched the runflat (Bridgestone Pole Position) on my C6 GS but I don't know how it would fly on the C7 GS. My greatest concern with the purchase of my C7 GS was the tires. I still can't figure out why the engineers at Corvette had to put racing tires on the car.
I've had my car for less than a month and I'm already looking for a replacement tire that I can have confidence in when going on a long trip. So far, the only alternative is the Continental non runflat.

That's really close to no man's land. But….
I had a puncture on a week-old Michelin Pilot Sport Plus A/S RF in the exact same position. I brought it back to my local (and awesome) tire guys, and they said they weren't sure if a plug/patch (the proper repair,BTW) would work, but since I don't track the car, what's to lose? If it failed they would replace it.
The repair lasted 68,000 miles. I had forgotten it was even "compromised" when the tire guy who was installing the new set came out and asked me about it.

That location is not considered repairable by Michelin.

I'm not a big fan of these tires, mainly because of the rock damage.

Michelin Pilot Sport Plus A/S RF.
I thought it was crazy too, so I had them bring up the records, and it matched my receipts.
I do NOT drive like a little old lady, either. I'm very aggressive off the line, but will confess to never having done a burnout. I generally downshift (A4 downshifts on the LS3 with Bullets sound awesome!!) and try not to burn rubber on the low end, either.

Melting Slicks
They do seem to pickup a lot of rocks, but not as bad as the GY's on my ZL1. If the shops won't patch it, you could mushroom plug it yourself.

I wouldn't want a plug in that area of the tire. Too risky. I don't think a reliable shop would patch it anyway if it is in the area you described.

Nope, around here you couldn't get that fixed

To avoid having to pay for new tires if a nail is near the sidewall, I bought a warrant from Discount Tire for $250.
The Firestone dealer in town where I had brought my Vette and even the wife's BMW run flats can not by company rule fix a flat IF it is in the outer tread as that is considered too near the sidewall. Michelin allows one flat repaired per tire IF not in or near the sidewall. Defining near the sidewall is subjective, accept for the Firestone store in town that has that defined for them. Look at the width of the out treads in the rear tires. They offered the same warranty of my OEM tires for $350.
With the warranty, Discount Tire will fix my flats up to one flat per tire, which is what Michelin allows. If it can't be repaired with a patch they will replace the tire on a percentage tread remaining basis.

That's why I bought wheel,, tire and windshield insurance. Had the same thing, cost me $93 bucks for a new tire, instead of $250-300. Heaven forbid you damage a wheel...

I had a nail at 500 miles drivers rear also - very upsetting but Discount tire patched it without hesitation or cost. Mine was in the middle however and yours is very close to the edge - which most consider non-repairable.
