I wonder why the GS is sticking out 3mm.

how different? They're different in width?
What is the difference in distance from the center of the hood to the furthest edge of the fender, excluding wheel spat? Thanks!
Also, is it just me or are the rear wheels really tucked in? I feel like you could easily get a 1" wider rear wheel, no problem at all.

would they rub on street alighnment? I dont really care about more in the rear (335 is plenty for 460hp with downforce) but 315 up front sounds sexy AF.
#46
Put some better pics up. I only rub at full lock, and minimally at that. But these are R7's which run a little narrower than others. I never ran them with street alignment. I'm at -2.8 up front and -1.8 in the rear.

Tape measure photo, it's the only spot I could do by myself without scratching.

Does anyone have one of those tailor's tape measure things with a base car? I can measure mine. Maybe hood vent to fender edge?

Probably just because cup wheels are different.
What your offsets?
Are those 315/35 and 345/35?
Are those 315/35 and 345/35?

315/30/18 and 345/35/18 They were very close to the stock tire in diameter. See pic for specs on rims.

I really can't believe how different this car is compared to the Z51. I wouldn't say it feels like a different car, because a lot hasn't changed, but the grip and braking upgrades are just unbelievable.
It feels fake, like a video game or something, how fast the car stops in sport or track mode. I was telling my friend that when I hit the brakes, I slide straight forward out of my seat, rather than down and forward, because there is no nose dive.

I'm guessing the GS would be somewhere around a 2:51 or 2:52 at best. It's just a Z51 (2:53.8) with wider tires and bigger brakes (more weight, doubt it uses/needs the extra clamping power on street tires).
I'm willing to bet I'm giving the GS a fast lap time. It's going to run about the same times as the Z51. Its only real advantage is having tires an inch or so wider all around. That's a really big deal on R-compounds but not as big of a deal on street tires. Other than that, they're more or less the same. Aero really isn't as big of a deal as people make it out to be at these levels.
almost all of which is attributable to running on R-compound tires.

I seem to recall this debate when the GS first came out. The front fenders are identical to the Z06, including the derided "spats". If you want to know how wide, I'm assuming 1-1/2 inches per side since the specs stated both the Z and the GS have a 3 inch overall wider track/stance.

I'm glad to see you've come around from your previous stance that a GS was just a Z51 with cosmetics.

There's more, but it's clear you've changed your mind.

It has the same, probably less, aero than my Z51 since I dont have the side skirts on yet

Exact same exterior and interior colors too
Wow, mag ride is awesome. Can't say enough about that. If you are going to get any one option on a Stingray, get mag ride. It goes from race car stiff to comfortable with the rotation of a ****.
The brakes are definitely better, but Z51 was 100% adequate for street driving. If you don't even track, this is virtually zero value added.
It might be in my head but the wider tires' grip is noticeable even on the street. It definitely grips better out of the hole and in a straight line, which is to be expected with an additional 50mm of rear tire and softer springs.
I love the rear brake vent scoops. I didn't want to adjust my mirrors when I first got in because it looks so cool.
Oh, and of course the big *** is awesome! The Z51 looks like a Barbie car in comparison.
I noticed the grill isn't carbon flash anymore! It's just gloss black, which is fine. I could barely notice anyway.
Is there a way I can adjust mag ride setting independent of stability control? I'd like to have track level stiffness but street level TC.
Downsides:
The front wheel spats are cheap, ugly afterthoughts. They should have made fenders with wider wheel arches like the C6.

don't forget about the chance to take our school and drive one of our grand sports here!

and as someone already stated, to drive the car in track mode level stiffness, but have different TC, put your dial on track mode, push the center button twice in rapid succession, and it brings up the PTM menu...turning the dial to the right will change it to your desired traction limit setting. from wet, dry, sport 1, 2 and race.

Also, I bought two C7s since last August. Can I combine them or at least use them both to do more advanced school?

You can use your certificate towards a different program (cost is different) if you so choose to, and do level 1 or 2.
If you've sold your c7, I don't think that certificate can be used anymore, nor can it be combined with another program with your current certificate. again, best to call the sales staff and discuss any unique circumstances. All we can do is ask our Chevy contacts!
Hope this helps!

Before I went I had the same though, but now having done it, I wouldn't be overly eager or concerned about doing the "advanced" school unless you're a hardcore track rat with 25+ HPDEs under your belt or similar.
So long as you can't catch the instructor (after corner exit... anyone can late brake, that doesn't count) you're at your own pace when you're the lead car so you'll be at your own skill level.
They sort it out into fast groups and slow groups. I was the fastest of the fast group (I also had a fair bit of prior experience) and I didn't feel like I was constrained or held back.
