Hello, I have a 2017 1LT
Does the stock exhaust have a flap valve?
It is not the dual mode option.
Hello, can anyone tell me if the 1LT exhaust used a flapper valve on the system or does all of the exhaust go out all four exhaust tips.
thanks

Melting Slicks
It still has valves for the AFM mode, so yea. I'm not sure exactly what they do exactly, but it's to quiet the exhaust even more than the non NPP already is.

Remember that some exhausts sounds good around town but can be unbearable at highway speeds. For that reason I chose to just stick with the stock exhaust.

That's Is a really good point
when I got out on freeway on a trip with my 09 Vet I would always turn the exhaust down to low
This Is surprising to me
do some of my cylinders on my V-8 shot down at cruising speed ?
I will not take possession of my new Corvette until next week

Like you, i gotten the 1lt with no npp. It sounds so dam quiet its unreal, excpecially for a corvette. Fortunetly you can upgrade to many exhaust systems that sounds incredible.
My personal choice is the corsa xtreme package.
Maryland speed gives the beat pricing by far.
Cold start up just sounds woah..amazing quite loud but within 20 seconds it will quiet down to as if its on stock exhaust.
Every time you accelerate though, the sound returns. Put the pedal to the metal and it screams.
In my opinon the perfect balance. Plus you get to choose the finish of the tips and size. They even offer the rectangular finish for a more exotic look.

If it is an automatic, it will go into V4 in any drive mode, not just E. The only way an automatic will stay in V8 and bypass V4 mode is to put the tranny in Manual mode and use the paddle shifters.

Art17, I purchased my 1LT specifically without the NPP exhaust because I wanted a different sound from the aftermarket exhaust. I replaced the exhaust with a Corsa Extreme and am very happy with the sound. The extreme has a much nicer sound that to me sounds much meaner but at the same time more refined than the stock NPP exhaust. And at cruising speed on the highway it is hush hush quiet without any drone.

That is good advice . I will need to run my car for a while before I put any more money into it .
This is certainly something that would be good to do down the road in the future . Thank you !

alittle more moderate....
....as she is my daily and because I am retiring next year so she is a keeper I sprung for the Corsa Sport exhaust system....alittle less on the sound but something I can live with for the next 20 plus years, got mine from Auto Anything; 1400 for the exhaust and another 300 to have it installed, zowie, nice noises when wanted but no droning of any kind....and it fills up the space just perfectly......
funny though I saved the stock system, really don't know, seemed like such a waste just to chuck it....
