Default The #1 reason Corvettes are so great.

Because dreams that come true are 100x better than ones that never do. And the affordability of the Corvette (new or used) combined with the special place they hold in the hearts and psyche of Americans - I'd venture to say the car many of us have fantasized about owning for 10-30+ years is more likely an obtainable (eventually) Corvette than an unobtainable (for most) Ferrari, Lambo or Porsche. I think the photos below sum that up nicely- 1/18 scale split window 1963 coupe (the car that first got me excited about Corvettes as a little boy in the 60s), 1/18 2014 C7 coupe- as close as I could get to the color scheme of my actual 2017 - posing my new Stingray (2017 Z51, M7, 2LT, Nav/PDR, Transparent Roof, Z06 grill, black flash badges, CF dash.

My dreams came true with this car. I saw the Mets win a World Series (I was @ Game 6 and Game 7 @ Shea in 1986). I once got a separate hand of applause for a guitar solo I played in a bar band. I can die happy now.

I have bought and traded scores of diecast cars and aircraft, they do vary widely in quality. The 2014 above is a Maisto, I'd rate it maybe 5 or 6 on a scale of 1-10, it's pretty medicore, but it's the best stock 1/18 diecast out there. About $50. The 1962 Stingray is really very nice, more like 8.5 on the 1-10 scale, but $150. In diecast you often get what you pay for.

Cool models, decent color match to yours.

Keep jamming. I finally learned sweep arpeggios and I'm pushing 60
