Default Toyo R888R for C7 Stingray

I have read where people have fit 315/30-20 R888 on stock C7 Z51 wheels with no rubbing but has anyone done it with the R888R? I have a 2014 Z51 3LT with a LMR 650 supercharger package on that I desperately need wider and stickier tires on. Want to try the R888R's but need to know if they will fit like the R888's did. Thanks

I'm planning on installing R888R with those specs to my Stingray in the next couple of days. I'll let you know how it goes

Well ive just had them fitted. The rears bulge a fair bit, but at least it provides a lot of protection from kerb rash. I haven't had any rubbing issues yet and they don't come out past the arches, but need to do a bit more driving before I can say confidently that they 100% fit.

Just snapped these quickly so they're not the best.

As for how they hook, I haven't tried to launch yet, but pulling away with a bit of power they didn't let go at all whereas my OEM tires would have a little bit.

I had the same tires on my C6, and they were phenomenal on there so i'm hoping these will be the same or better given the increased size. I think I need to bed them in a bit before I can give a proper answer though.

Just went for a bit of a hoon and I can confirm that these tires on the C7 are 'legit'. It launches so much harder than before and the cornering is mind blowing.

How many miles do you get out of a set on the street? And, safe to assume you should drive these in the rain?

i didn't keep my c6 long enough to wear through a set so I can't really say how long they will last. They are very soft and I imagine if you drive them on roads with lots of debris they will get chewed up before they wear out.

The r888r have slightly better aquaplane resistance in the rain than the r888, but I would still drive it with extreme caution. I don't take my C7 out in the rain, so its less of an issue for me

I was getting 15k miles out of my r888s. I can normally drive speed limit in the rain without issue.

My MT ET streets on the other hand. I'm driving 40mph on the interstate.

What size are you running in the front?

265/30 in the front. You wouldn't really even notice that they aren't the OEM size really. Its only the rears that have a bulge and took my tire fitters ages to install.

I've done a lot of driving on them recently including holding on for dear life going round a round-about, 130mph for several miles and some hard launches, They really are a great tire. The only slight negative is that they are a fair bit more noisy than OEM and make a sort of slurping noise on smooth tarmac.

Is you're car at the stock ride height? I had heard others say they rub on cars lowered all the way on the factory lowering bolts.

Yes stock height. I've heard of one person who was lowered and OK, but not lowered all the way.

id be interested to know what rubs where on the lowered cars because the setup doesn't look all that extreme to me.

I think that's way too much rubber. I have Cup 2's which sit more square on the rim, 295's and I think I'm pushing it, but hey, if they fit please let us know, they will be my next tire purchase.

Ok, they look good, what size are you running up front?

Yep. I’m at stock ride height, but haven’t noticed any rubbing under hard acceleration, and my car squats a lot 😂

Glad someone asked the question and someone actually installed these. I have been looking at tire options but thought about going 305 in the rear with the R888r's. Where did you guys purchase? I have seen a few sets on amazon.
