When is or when was the cutoff for a 2018 factory order build before the plant shutdown?

I am placing an order tomorrow, 7/3.

It's too late. Anything ordered now won't be built until the plant opens up after the shutdown (opens in November I believe)

You missed the cutoff. If you order tomorrow, it will be built when the start back up, supposedly in Nov. Yours will get the new paint.

Not quite a given, I belive they will start with certain colors at first and slowly release others.

The cutoff was 6/20. Yea, you will have a bit of a wait. When the plant starts up again it will be producing only Red, White, Black, and I read possibly two other colors (not named). The remaining colors will be phased in over a six month period of time. i also read it will be operating at a lower capacity, producing less than the current amount of cars per day. You can always check the large forum dealers out there, they are getting some 18s in addition to the remaining 17s they have.

Check with the forum dealers, they may have what you want coming in.
Kerbeck has about 40 in stock and another 260 in transit before the plant shuts down.

I don't know about red and black, but the first two colors will be white and yellow.

We've got a Carbon 65 with a TPW for the first week the plant is opening so I'm guessing Ceramic Matrix is one of them.

Merry Christmas!! You'll probably be getting your car sometime in either November or December. I have a 2018 ZO6 on order and my TPW is 7/10, I'm not sure when the last TPW's before shutdown will be, but I think the plant shuts down either end of July or beginning of August. Maybe someone can correct me on that, but I don't think your car will make the deadline to be built before the shutdown. That was one of my concerns when I ordered, I want to get it before September so I can get the break-in oil change done and put a few miles on the car before I have to put it away for 5 months for the winter. I'm guessing 2018 will be low production number year when the final numbers are in. Being in the November startup is not always a good thing., takes time to resolve problems on a new assembly line.

Yes, it wasn't a big seller. It was on the 2018 "build and price" option on the Chevy website and someone said it was because you could get an early 18 in that color, but I don't know for sure. If so, as was already stated, the "early" 18 cutoff has come and gone.

That makes sense. I read that only 650 of the Carbon 65's will be built, and an estimated half of them will be made before the plant shutdown and the other half after the plant starts back up, but I'm guessing you already know all of that.
