Default Back in the Saddle...and shout out to Chris @ Hendrick Chevrolet!

Haven't been posting around the forum much in recent years, but happy to say I'm back in the saddle again! Just brought home Grand Sport Collectors Edition #535!

First, wanted to toss a quick shout out to Chris Lindamood (@HendrickCorvette), the Corvette Specialist @ Hendrick Chevrolet in Duluth, GA. He worked with me a bunch via email and phone to work out a deal, long-distance, including my trade-in, and was very enjoyable to work with. Everyone I met there at the dealership the day of delivery was very friendly and easy to work with. Definitely would recommend giving them a shot!

I also posted this in the GSCE thread, but this is my 4th Vette, and first new one since a 2010 JSB Grand Sport. As a total nut for blues, silvers, and gunmetal/gray cars (and Vettes in general), I absolutely went nuts for the Collectors Edition when it was unveiled. I'm not sure how GM could have made a Vette that was any more "me"!

So...after a weekend that included lots of layers of Zaino...here she is:

...and probably the coolest part of the run to pick it up was sharing the day with my Dad. He's the one who got me into cars and always had a GM vehicle in the garage while I was growing up. (He has a CTS Coupe currently) I recruited him to tag along on the ride to Atlanta to "pick something up", but he had no idea it was for this. The look on his face when he first saw it was priceless! Chris snapped a pic of us with it before we hit the road towards home:

Best of luck with the new Vette. Love that WG Gray, but then I might be biased (2014 Cyber Gray!)

He's the guy I dealt with when I got my 2014 Stingray 3 years ago. I think they did a great job. Good luck with your new ride!

Congrats! Beautiful Vette.
Chris was helping me as well, however I ultimately found a GS configured just as I wanted at another dealership in another state.
I would definitely recommend Chris though, he's knowledgeable, and will work hard to hook
up up with what you are looking for.

Congrats on your new Collectors Edition, and a big thumbs up to taking your Dad with you on the trip to pick it up. It's a memory that you'll treasure forever.

Congratulations, it's a beauty. And a day with your Dad makes it even more memorable. I'd give anything for another day with Dad.

Me Too. He worked for Chevrolet for 50 years and only saw me buy foreign cars - and a Ford once. Made him nuts inside but he never busted my chops.
Because of him I get the Family discount.
Wish he had seen me get my GS.

I'm close to Hendrick in Charleston and bought from that store.
I think the entire organization is first class.
You know that Jim Perkins worked for Mr. Rick for several years after he left Chevrolet. Mr. Perkins saved the vette from the chopping block in early 90s.

Congrats on the new car! I agree, Chris was excellent to work with. I bought my first corvette from him a few weeks ago and the whole experience was easy and enjoyable. He knows all things Corvette and was extremely helpful in answering questions and helping me envision a dream. He and the dealership were great to work with so I highly recommend them for your next Chevrolet purchase.
