I believe they announced that all 2LT models for 2018 were that way now, not just on the GS and Z06

Yep, I added the red upper dash pad to my 2017 2LT as I did not like that patchwork quit look of the red 3LT . Looks like GM thought the same for 2018-stole my idea (it was announced at the Bash ~1 month after I bought my upper dash pad for $320!) Guess great minds think alike!

Added Red Upper Dash Pad to my 2LT to make a 2.5 LT! GM stole my idea!

blown, the parts can be a bit expensive. I checked each forum vendor, and bought from the one that had the best price plus shipping. All of our vendors were very helpful, and made sure the part I was ordering was the correct one for my 1LT. I went to Harbor Freight and bought a cheap set of trim tools ($7.99), and installed them myself. If I can do it, anyone can.

In this picture is the console cover, and side trim panel. Since this pic I have added the upper dash pad, and grab handle that you see in Jerry's picture.

I paid $320 from a reliable Vette vendor.
This is a PDF of the easy install: http://netwelding.com/Red_Dash_Pad.pdf

See someone on eBay has them for $312. My price included shipping.

What is it that you didn't like on the 3LT?

Yours looks good.

Thanks.

Like what they did when they changed the Kalahari in my 3LT 2014, they reduced the color on the dash to the glove compartment, the rest is black. Didn't care for it in Kalahari so was considering black but then saw a 2LT red. Red, IMO goes great with my first white car. In fact brought my wife to see a 2LT at the local dealer-although had no intensional of ordering from them.

Ordered exactly what I wanted from Kerbeck and took a chance the red seat bets matching. They do. Then thought it would look good with just the upper dash pad in red, so bought it, which it does.

Apparently GM thinks the same. The 3LT also has too much red on the door panels for my taste but to each their own, esthetics are obviously very personal.
