At the time I bought my C7, the KBB dealer trade trade in value of my C5 was 10-11k.

Dealer (the same one I bought it from) offered 5k.

Thats why I called it insulting.

I just traded my 2013 427 in for a 2018 Z06 convertible, I feel I got a very fair price, I didn't have Vette fever and I think the dealer knew I would shop the deal if he didn't work with me, That being said I did the same thing I did last trade, I looked up what my car was bringing in the auto trader and explained to the dealer that I felt I could get between $54 and $55k for my car privately and the tax savings would be about $3k so I told him I would accept $52k we settled at $50,500. Five weeks later my new car was built and the trade is done.
