Default Range AFM disabler Trans question

Hey I have heard that the majority of the forum members are having problems with the A8 torque converters because of AFM technology. Have any member who have the range and are using it had the same problem??
Please elaborate on your experience using it too.

I agree with OP's question. It's not clear from the various postings on this subject if people that totally defeat AFM - - either with a Range device or by strictly driving in Manual mode - - have had any torque converter or other transmission problems.

In my view AFM is the culprit. I only drive in Manual using the paddles, which I love to do anyway, and so far have not had any A8 problems (fingers crossed).
