Default *Pic heavy Corvette Delivery post 7/16/17 throwback pics~ Mike Furman at Criswell****

~I had this conversation the other day with John from Oregon, basically I stated that the friends that I have met thru the Corvette hobby has meant more to me then any of the 18 Corvettes that I have owned. Life takes twists and turns and you can go for a ride in your Corvette to clear the mind as I often do but the Corvette people that I have met along the way keeps my glass full and thankful for it. I don't go a week without random acts of kindness being sent my way...Jeff H. of NY picked up a new Corvette Convt from me a few weeks ago and he mailed me a gift box of Snyders Pretzels so large it may be enough for a Year. Many customers still ask about my son, July 29th marks 5 years since he was hit by a speeding car. Our lives were changed forever but he is forging ahead each and every day. His strength and our friends along with the Corvette community has helped me handle the 2nd worst phone call a parent could ever receive.

~Moving on, I hope everyone is enjoying the Summer heat. Travel safe and enjoy the Pictures and stories. *Someone said the other day they thought I had a "Google memory" for Corvette stuff...thought that was pretty funny...but you do something that you love for nearly 40 years now and Corvette stuff becomes ingrained in you.

~Vicky and Terri of Annapolis, Md called me this week and said it's time to trade the 4,300 mile '13 427 Convt that they had bought from me. They have now bought 3 Corvettes and 1 Colorado from me since 2012. I arrived Saturday at 6:45am like most Saturdays as I knew they would be early ...they had it narrowed down between two Z06's. They chose wisely before we even opened up at 9am having themselves arrived at 7:30am. A few weeks ago I gave them a sight unseen value for their 427 Convt and Saturday they drove away in their new 2017 Z06 Cpe in Black with Two tone Red/black microfiber insert seats with microfiber steering wheel, Red seat belts, Auto trans, spectra gray wheels with silver groove, Nav/PDR, 2LZ Pkg and much more!! This Corvette pops. It will share garage space with their C3 and 25th Anniversary 2012 Callaway Corvette.
Here in their own words is the text I received from them last night..."We just got home, LOVE the C7 Z06!!! Everything you said about it was right on target. Very impressive to drive. Thank you for making the experience so easy and special" Vicky and Terri ...knowing these two gals I am sure they took the long way home!!

~James R. Of Commack, NY factory ordered his 2nd Red Corvette from me in late May and I gave him a sight unseen trade value on his 12,000 mile 2014 Corvette Z51. This week he and his buddy Eddie drove 260 miles down to Maryland to pick up his new 2018 Corvette Grand Sport Cpe, Jim's 8th Corvette!! His new 2018 Grand Sport has Auto trans, 1LT Pkg, CF Badge Pkg, Black wheels, red calipers which go great with the Torch Red paint! Next it's Eddie's turn to trade his Z51 for a Grand Sport.

~Carl F. Of Earlysville, Virginia called me 7 weeks ago to factory order a 2018 Z06 Cpe and trade in his Laguna Blue 2016 Stingray Z51 Cpe. Carl has followed me on the Forums and chose to order an 18 Z06 in Admiral Blue with Black Comp seats with microfiber inserts, body color dual roof Pkg, Auto trans, Z06 Appearance Pkg, chrome wheels, Red seat belts, red stitching and 3LZ Pkg. This Corvette is stunning and Carl can't wait to experience his new Z06 and the extra 190HP! I sense some spirited driving in his future.

Thanks for another great week Mike!
Do you consistently use the 110 octane? I ran a tank of 100 octane LL aviation fuel in my '66 but the 427 didn't car for it.

So glad that your son Tyler is on the mend. He has had a lot of support over the years from your CF family here.

The flared fender Candy Apple red C3 has some amazing and eye popping paint.

I believe that the Limerock Green C7 and the green XKE Jag pictured together belong to your long time customer.

Been reading through some of the special requests and multiple question emails that you receive daily. Don't know how you keep track of all of the phone calls and emails that you must handle on a daily basis...... and still have a life away from Criswell Chevrolet at the end of the day.

Mind boggling, to say the least......

Mike, a big ROLL TIDE ROLL back to Paul's son, Sam!

Glad Tyler continue to progress and very best wishes to him and your family!

Chevy should have built that 2+2 C2! Look at the 4 seater T-Bird sales of that era!

I knew I should have worked harder at baseball. Nice reward for Cano.

To use a word popularized in Tweets by a current politician, I hate to see the damaged corvette pics "SAD".

you mean like this pic? this little chat cost me $$$$$ as once you meet the man its' near impossible to not want to move mountains to buy a vette from him

Mike, i can't imagine what it's like to get that call. My parents have, quite a few times. I pray I never have to or anyone ever for that matter. Thank God he is alive and you can say it's BEEN 5 years since..

I will say Mike, if it weren't for the C7 you sold me last October your insight as to why the Carlisle event is a bucket list item I wouldn't have pushed through as hard as i've been with my rehabilitation since my surgery a little over a week ago. They wanted me in a brace for 4 to 6 weeks lose my summer in the vette ? it's such a stress reliever to blast off in, and after a tough week it's the only thing that brings me some clarity makes me realize the world is actually a better place than work suggests lol.

Great thread, fantastic pics and the stories of your customers? like you said, their interactions with you are as interesting as the cars themselves.

hoping to visit you before Carlisle dropping one off and picking one up

It would be so easy for car salesmen to be greatly respected rather than deplored ... just be like you.
