The grocery store is between where I live and where I work, so......yea, I do.
I have loaded 8' 2x4s in my C5...and a wheelbarrow....and skis.....(not all at the same time)
And if its your only car, ya do what ya gotta do...

Since I bave a truck and an SUV also, I usually drive one of them to the grocery store. The Food Lion is just two blocks away so really don't need the Corvette. None of my vehicles (or me) ever go to a Walmart. They destroyed too many small town stores for my liking. I like to save money, just not that much.

I've hauled 6- 50 lb bags of deer corn/birdseed. A couple of 8' 2" x 4"s carefully placed with towels between them & any contact points. 2 days ago I picked up 26 7" x 15" x 1" concrete pavers at Lowes. Was a bit concerned about 408 lbs that far aft in my '16 Z (on thick blanket). Had to drive 18 miles with 'em but drove extra cautious on curves, etc. Was nervous about getting in a wreck (can you imagine those coming fwd) Could always use the F-150 4x4 but being retired I look for any excuse to go to town driving this. 10 miles to reach city (12,500). Haul bags of fertilizer/dirt/mulch, etc., always with plastic/padding. Got to be real careful lifting over the spoiler, I'm only 68" & spoiler is higher than seems!

My Vette is a daily driver, so it's been back and forth to the grocery store countless times. I've used it for anything I needed to haul that would fit and wouldn't damage the car. It's a nice vehicle, but I'm going to use it for all of its features, including the spacious hatch!

I've got two cars. I split the DD duties between the two.
So, yes, my Vette has been to get groceries, to Walmart, Lowe's, Home Depot, cafes, hotel parking lots.... and when I'm not in the C7 I'm in the Ferrari which also goes to those places - unless I need the larger "trunk" space and the F-car gets left home as a result.
As so many have pointed out: they're just cars.

That's why I GOT the car. Every trip to Shop Rite is like a Pcad Lemans or an episode of Speed Racer. I love owning a Corvette since I bought my first, a 2007 C6 coupe in April 2015. Traded up to the 2017 last December. The honeymoon is not over.

How about a dozen roses:
A dozen eggs, and three dozen live blue crabs!

Not exactly coming home from getting groceries (done that a bunch but never took photos of it):

And yes, that's a tire off of Jimmie Johnson's NASCAR car from this year's Charlotte race.
Have a good one,
Mike

I haul my road bikes around in the Vette. It's one of the reasons I bought a coupe. Here's a 54cm framed Specialized Roubaix loaded. Second pic shows the front wheel in a wheel bag laying on top of the bike. I don't move the seatpost or the rear wheel, only the front wheel comes off.

I just ordered my vinyl one (I didn't want a light-weight terry cloth as the seat towels) w/ the C7 emblem yesterday. The love of my life is my '17 GS is just over a month residing in my garage -- I don't even have my own license plate yet!). My GS is my DD for errands, etc. -- I'm more confident to lift up and over the stage 3 Wicker Bill spoiler as I load/unload groceries, large bags of potting soil, various potted plants, etc.

The vert has the added bonus that the trunk is almost the perfect size for grocery bags . . . once you put them in they can't tip over!

It's an expensive Chevy. I drive it nearly everyday it is not storming outside, or freezing, which is fortunately rare where I live!
