Default Does NAV update take away "Corvette car" on 2014 & 15 Vettes?

Hi all,

As most know the 2014 and 2015 Navigation has a little white Corvette on the screen as your position. In 2016 it was changed to a triangle. I am considering buying the latest update but do not want to lose the car icon.....

Thanks,

Steve

I highly doubt it. It is a map database update, not an update to the Nav system itself. Be interesting to hear from those that have updated theirs.

I've only otherwise mentioned this to Mrs Slowe, but ever since I purchased the C7 Z, I've thought that GM swung and missed a bit with the little white car icon by not offering a user selectable option to choose a different color. Wish I could change it to a torch red car

I have installed the latest update in my '14 and the white car is still there.

I was scrolling through the other day and thought I saw the white coupe on my 2017 torch red GS convertible. Need to have another look.

This was discussed before. GM said they chose the Arctic White Z51 model to display on screen on purpose.
There was no reason to offer any others for people who inadvertently made a "bad color choice" when ordering.

Formula52, mine is correctly displayed too

Another confirming data point: I installed the 2017 NAV update on my 2014 C7, and the white Corvette remains on the screen just as before.

How do I get that dark gray circle around the triangle representing my "car" to disappear? When using the 2D display, which I prefer.

The gray circle obscures roads close to my position, very annoying and did not exist on our previous C6.
