Default Brakes stick after washing

Have noticed on two occasions my brakes stick after washing the car. Wash blow dry the wheels put back in shop and next time i drive the car i have to break the car loose and it pops like a rifle. I know if i drove it some distance it prob. Wouldn't happen. I rocked the car by hand before and it broke loose but last time i had to mash on gas pretty good to break loose. I would think repeating this break away process may damage the pads. Anyone else experience this? Thanks

Many. A drive around the block after washing prevents it.

You just need to sweep the water off the discs before parking.
All I do is back down the driveway with the brakes on lightly, and then pull back up into the garage.

Mine have never stuck.

Sticking breaks after washing very common I had the brakes stick the first two times I washed it, wised up and move it a bit!

Fortunately not that big of a deal. Like bolded above says move the car.

I go up and down my parking area about 3 times (80' or so) hit the breaks. The last thing I do before my car goes away for its 5 month winter sleep is wash it. Being its going to sit that long I do 5 trips!

Definitely have experience that! My trick has been to just back down the driveway, brake, go forward, brake--repeat 3 times then park it.

Have had it happen many times. I don't do anything about it as it is harmless to the pads.

I've had it happen with the stock pads. Even drove back & forth in the driveway and had it happen. Maybe I didn't heat things up enough? Recently changed to the Powerstop ceramic pads and plan on washing it today. Will see if they stick tomorrow. But I think when the original pads stuck the car sat for several days before I drove it?
