Are you actually taking your Corvette on to the beach, patent??? If so, then yes, I'd rent a Jeep instead.

Otherwise, if 2 days at the beach wrecks your paint then Vettes have some sh!tty paint jobs to begin with.

If you're not going to drive your Corvette to the beach in July that just leave it in your driveway with a for sale sign and get a Jeep!

Why did you buy Corvette, to have fun, don't worry the salt from the beach won't melt it.

I've actually driven my corvette on the beach, and it survived just fine. Sitting in a driveway near the beach is child's play.

Take it and enjoy!

When I lived in the Myrtle Beach SC area (Murrells Inlet) i would take my new '14 Stingray to the beach three times a week for several hours at a time. Just hose the sand off the car and wash normally. We sometimes get too fanatical with these cars and lose enjoyment!

If being their could ruin your corvettes finish it would also ruin all cars finishes. Remember while this is a great car it's still a Chevy! Quit worrying about this and enjoy the car!

Unbelievable, hard to fathom grown men asking these silly questions.

Oh man, The Jersey Shore and a new Corvette Stingray, wow what memories. Pcad, I'd drive the 500 miles up there to join you but there are two things that are different today than when I drove my new Stingray (C3 that is!) all summer in Manasquan. I'm no longer in my twenties and I'm no longer single. Have fun, that's a great place.

You'll be fine.

I recently had my '17 GS at the Texas gulf coast (at Port Aransas), and for a week it was parked at a condo just across the dunes from the beach. After a week it was covered with fine "blow sand" and a thin layer of the salt that accompanies the sand.

On the way out of Port Aransas I stopped at a self-serve car wash to get the worst of it off, and back in Fort Worth I doused it with a ton of water and gave it a good wash.

I would offer one caveat: If you do get blown sand on your windshield, do NOT use your wipers until you have otherwise rinsed the sand off the windshield.

Cheers!

take it ! i picked my stingray up from kerbeck july 4th weekend went straight form there to my boys shore house on the water where it got poured on plus hit with the ocean salt air.

enjoy the car! throw a coat of wax on it before you go

most likely taking mine to OCMD in 2 weekends for a bachelor party. my only concern is if i will have to park it miles away from the house cuase no spots

Biggest risk - Snooki puts that greasy a$$ on the paint; then you are screwed.

Am i being unreasonably OCD about the car paint? Part of me says 'leave it home' the other part says 'STFU you moron, it's a little red Corvette, OF COURSE you should take it down to LBI on a July weekend.'

I mean, what could happen?

Discuss.
Yes you are OCD about your paint. Yes it is shocking. It's a car built to drive, drive it.
