Default **Corvette Delivery Post Tonight/Vacation tomorrow-7/23/17 Mike Furman at Criswell***

~I guess you could say my vacation arrives at the perfect time...the calm before the storm sort of speak. I believe the next few months will be the start of several big announcements from the GM brass. Does $450 Million dollars sound about right for a new Corvette Paint Facility...or is something else going on under the cloak of roof and several levels in Bowling Green? Exciting times are certainly ahead. I received a nice note from the Corvette Museum thanking me for my 15th year Anniversary of being a Corvette Museum member, Lifetime #3003. NCRS member #19053 since 1991...and next week on the 26th of July will be the start of my 40th year selling Corvettes. Do I have Corvette experience? I'd say I have that covered. If you read thru the new Corvette brochure for 2018 it could take you awhile to configure your next Corvette just as you are seeking. What my experience brings to the table is I listen to what you are after in your Corvette so that together we can decipher and order wisely! I have received hundreds of calls from folks that had wished they had called me first. Sometime in the next 5-8 months I will deliver my 4,000th Corvette...Mr 3,000 is thrilled he rolled out of the Criswell Delivery area as Sale #3,000...let's see who ends up being #4,000.
(No Sunday Post next week)~*I will be at Corvettes at Carlisle the last week of August from Wed eve thru Saturday and then Sept 30th-October 4th I will be at Spring Mountain Race track in Pahrump, Nevada.

~Regis K. Of McKeesport, PA lives just outside of Pittsburgh and was in need of another C7 as he lost his Stingray to a flood. Last week Regis called me and he zeroed in on a Black Rose Metallic 2017 Grand Sport Convt. Regis really wanted this color combo with Kalahari interior and top and 3LT was the preferred Pkg. I had the exact Corvette GS Convt in stock and he and his wife flew in last night for breakfast in Wash, DC and then they took an Uber to Criswell this morning. Equipment list includes Auto trans, chrome wheels and 3LT Pkg so it's loaded just like Regis was seeking. He wrote me at his Lunch stop and said he loved the way his new GS drove and couldn't be happier.

~Paul F. Of Plymouth, Wisconsin was referred to me by another Wisconsin customer of mine and he picked out of stock a 2017 Silver Z06. I gave him a sight unseen trade appraisal on his Supersonic Blue 2011 Corvette GS and the deal was made. This week Plycon trucking arrived with his old Corvette GS and then transported his new Corvette Z06 to his driveway. Paul's new '17 Z06 Cpe is a 1LZ Pkg with 7spd manual trans and Black Alum wheels. Awesome Sports car soon to be in his Wisconsin driveway.

~Hugh and Margaret R. Of Port Clinton, Ohio factory ordered a 2018 Corvette Z06 Cpe in Torch Red with Kalahari interior. The cool option chosen besides the color combo is the body color vents. Other features are Auto trans, chrome badges, chrome wheels and 2LZ Pkg. Hugh decided on his factory order arriving at Criswell so our Corvette techs could inspect it and Plycon trucking to ship it via enclosed trailer after the paperwork/payment process gets completed thru Fed Ex. This new Red Z06 will be in Ohio on the 26th when they arrive back home from their Florida house.

~Matt S. Of Bear, Delaware called me 12 weeks ago to place a Factory order for one of the last 2017 Z06's built before the 18's were produced. Matt is a Sales Mgr at a VW store in Delaware so he knew exactly what he wanted for his 3rd Corvette, his last being a 2008 Z06. His new C7 Z06 is Watkins Glen Gray Metallic with Black interior, 7spd manual trans, J57 Ceramic Brake rotors, Black wheels and 1LZ Pkg. I am sure Matt has some specific plans to test his new Corvette with a mere 650HP! Matt wrote me a note after he drove the three hours home to Delaware and he couldn't believe the whole car...best sports car value by far...Z06!!

~Gene E. of Calera, Alabama called me on the last day for this cycle (June 20th) to order his Dream Corvette, a Black Rose Z06 Convt with two tone gray interior and a Gray top. I was able to get his special order built and it arrived this past week! He wanted Criswell Corvette Techs to do the Pre Delivery Inspection and now that the Fed Ex process is completed for payment/paperwork we have Plycon trucking set up to ship it enclosed trailer to his driveway...hopefully before his birthday next Sunday. Gene's new Black Rose Z06 Convt is equipped with Auto trans, 10 spoke blade Pearl nickel alum wheels, Navigation/PDR and 2LZ Pkg. Next stop Alabama! This is most likely the very last Black Rose Z06 built as GM has discontinued this color for the rest of the 2018 model year!
What a retirement gift to himself!!

Black Rose Metallic is a great color.

Tough choice but this is one is my pick for this week.

Nice! See? I told you, I"m just a fat bastard

Is the zipper pull on the wrong side? i.e. the pull is on the left instead of teh right?

Thanks for another great week Mike! Enjoy your time away.

I really like the trio of Mid-years. It looks to be a '63, a '67 and a '66. Excellent!

Have a great vacation. Really, there are just too many to choose from this time. CERV in the desert, all the various racing Vettes like the red and white C3s over in Euro (?), didn't know where Lucky Strike Bingo club was-Las Vegas-had to look it up, laffed out loud at the dog but could be harmful to him, hope that wasn't a woman that close to two cars about to accelerate, nice "tanker" car interior pic, had no idea about the "water carry" race, and no idea about the last pic with the "belch fire" Stingray.

Enjoy summer!
