Or they did not implement that feature until the 16's.

Not a hardship to close anyway, not like the hatch on my C6Z coupe!
I think it started on the 16s to have the trunk to be closed mechanically.

14s and 15s are SOL.

They do.

I still don't understand why they thought the convertibles needed it.
It was added in the 2016 model year

Convertibles do not have the pull down switch, at least my 2LT did not.

If you had actually read through the thread you would have seen that they do, from 2016 on. Mine does.

Lots of bad info in this thread ... 16+ coupes and convertibles have pull down hatches and deck-lids ...

I have auto pull down on my 2017 vert. Your right it may not be needed on the vert but I close the trunk lid by pulling it down from the underside with my finger then when its almost down pull the finger out and let the auto pull down work. No fingerprints on the trunk lid.

Got my car back today - all is well. They replaced the amp which was not actually bad they said and then they replaced the radio and screen - screen worked ok on the back up camera but they said it was bad. Anyway - it all works good. All in all a good experience at the dealer.
