It's only one writer's opinion but still worth a read.

We've been over this article recently: https://www.corvetteforum.com/forums...gs-or-not.html As you'll see from my comments on the first thread, I do not find the article credible.

I'm laughing. The GS is a nicer looking base engine corvette. Ok it has wider tires and bigger brakes. It simply does not compare to the Z06 though.
I just got back a few days ago from the Spring Mountain Corvette Racing School and I've seen personally what the Z06 is capable of. Very impressive but if you can't afford the Z06 then get a GS or a stingray. You will still have a great car.

For me it came down to this. How often can I actually use the (admittedly, far superior) power of the Z06? The answer: Not much unless you're one of those people who feel the need to street race at every stoplight. I'm not one of those people.
My conclusion: It's not worth $20,000 for power I can rarely, if ever, use outside of a track.

The 7 biggest lies popular food documentaries have told us
7 Myths about single people couples need to stop believing
7 things you didn't know about ALS
Self-love: How you can finally learn to love your body
These cars were so popular no one would buy them
You see a pattern here? No self-respecting professional journalist would write crap like this. Who is ignorant here? This site ASPIRES to tabloid journalism. It's a laughingstock. Calling someone ignorant is not going to change that. Anyone who reads these articles and believes what they say is the one who is ignorant. If a well-respected auto or industry publication were to put all three C7s through their paces and back up their conclusions with solid statistics and tell us the GS was a superior value, I could accept that. But this article is pure silliness and richly deserves to be called out as such.

I can afford a Z06. That's not the point.

I had a '17 GS and it was a great Vette! However, the Z06 is a different animal and well worth the premium price. I see very many loaded 2 and 3 LT GS's that can cost much more than a 1LZ Z06. I guess it depends what is more important to you. BTW...base price on a Z06 is $14,000 more than a base GS.

The whole site is Fake News, Maxie. You didn't "correctly state" anything. Just look at the articles. Here are a couple of titles:

7 Myths about single people couples need to stop believing

Self-love: How you can finally learn to love your body

So I guess Car and Driver's review of the Grand Sport calling it, "Once a race car, then a special edition, the Grand Sport has become the Corvette's top-selling trim. After a drive in the C7 version, we understand why." can also be lumped in as "no self-respecting professional journalist would write crap like this."
