Good-Bye Black Rose - Beautiful 2018 Pics on a GS
2018 BLACK ROSE GRAND SPORT PICTURES!
Had an incredible time at the 15th Annual Corvettes at Corsa show hosted by Corvette Cleveland.
This is the car we brought to the Corvette Cleveland’s “Corvettes at Corsa” show had people talking and talking how much they loved the color and THEN SHOCKED, to find out Black Rose Metallic is NO longer available.

It is not purple. When I park my Black Rose Z people walk up and ask the color? I tell them and every person, with no exception, says " that is a beautiful color". The red tint and the metalflake light up in the sun. If you don't like it that's fine, but don't bad mouth those who do. There are many colors I don't care for on a Vette, but I know the owner likes it.

I really like the look of a black rose c7 in subdued lighting. Pointed one out to my wife in sunlight and her response was, " You like an eggplant car?" Oh well, I guess that is why we have an Artic White Z06.

It wasn't popular in the 90's either but still an awesome color. Almost bought a 1992 Black Rose back in the day. I'd definitely own one... totally different than anything else on the road.
I'm also very happy GM is taking some risks with colors. I'd rather see a limited run of a different color like it or not than sticking with the same set over and over.

Winner 2020 C7 of the Year - Modified
My favorite Corvette color used to be Atomic Orange and they took it away. Then they came out with Black Rose, my latest favorite, and they took it away. I wonder what color will be my next favorite - that gets taken away.

Agreed! No offense to anyone but red, black, and white cars - especially Corvettes - are as common as flies. Black Rose would have been my first choice had it been available in 2014. The fact that it is rather rare adds to the appeal. I don't see a lot of Crystal Red Vettes like mine and I am grateful that there are choices being offered. I assume BR was an extra $1K to buy which explains some of the low take rate.

It looks nice in the sunlight however I'd never own that color. I guess I'm more traditional and like the reds, yellows, blues ect.

[QUOT=lavla;1595265995]Unfortunately for Black Rose, it makes up less than 3% of Corvette sales. With that kind of performance, it's hard to support. [/QUOTE]
Same thing with DSOM

Was a $495 option. You either like it or you don't. (Or maybe like it - but on someone else's car - not enough to live with it for years.
I have gotten more complements on this car & especially the color in three months than I got in 12 years with my Magnetic Red C6 (also a short-run color. Replaced before the end of the 2005 model year run with Monterey Red).

As the popular colored c7's disappear from dealers lots during this dry spell (lookup stats on the most popular colors) you will see more of these "undiscovered gems" highlighted here while the dealers wait with these "gems" on their lots for the in-demand color-paletted cars to resume production. Paying extra for any paint from the drip factory is simply GM-extortion from a captive audience. if GM wants more money from paint and now claims to be building a new hit shot paint line; then GM should offer the paint on demand option.
