Default ZR1 hood photo

Found this online and noticed that it shows a really good front view of just how large the "bulge" on the hood is, so passing it along for that reason.

Obviously requires more clearance than our TVS-1740 does, but is it just a bigger blower?

That is a considerable increase in the hood bulge. One of the better photos of the front grill that I've seen as well. Maybe has an oil cooler on one side and water on the other of the main grill to help cooling?

Hopefully it needs the space for something mechanical, otherwise it's getting a little too Corvette Summer for my tastes.

Maybe they're putting a twin screw compressor on it with an adequate intercooler in place of of the less efficient roots hybrid (cheaper cost) blower that's on the Z06.

While I'm not a big fan of the Hellcat, I do give Chrysler props for using a screw compressor on it.

Watching and listening to the ZR1 on YouTube at the 'Ring making its rounds, this thing sounds fierce. I love it, but too rich for my pockets.

It's kinda taking a design cue from the ZL1 if that hood is even close to what it'll actually have.

My bet since the 2650 rotor pack was released last November/December was that the new ZR1 will have a 2650 blower. The new hood seems to support that. The 2650 will be a game changer.

I like the whole thing....the nose, the new vents in the nose, the hood-everything looks great.

I agree. It looks menacing as hell.

Just getting rid of the spats is worth a $10,000 increase in the MSRP.

Hood is taller for sure! Can't wait for this to be released.

Looks to me the spats are still there just harder to see with the Camo wrap

I think the new Camaro looks pretty nice, but the ZL1 hood is a little out there in my opinion. Same goes with the supposed ZR1 hood and front fascia.

Tom Peters has done a heck of a job design wise on the Stingray, gen 5 Camaro, and new Camaro, but I think I'm seeing a little Aztek coming back out of him as of late.

You would think they would go with something more like the C7R hood.
Like the ACS version, there is plenty of room underneath for a bigger blower.

Agreed... 2650 rotor pack, more cooling, more fueling, maybe fully forged assembly. I'd expect a stout 700-750whp with the cooling to get a few more laps over the Z06

As I mentioned in another thread, there looks like there's room for both (a supercharged DOHC motor). Not that I actually expect that, but the hood would accommodate it!

No, I don't see any spats. Look at the edge of nose, there is a side marker light there.

I think the whole nose and fenders are wider.
Front of this car looks awesome!

They sure are milking that camo, which doesn't seem to have any camouflaging effects close up. I do like the hood... and the whole front clip, including the splitter
