Default Removing dealer name

Suggestions for removing stick on dealer nameplate from rear. Not a decal. Just look better without.

I'd take it back to the dealer and tell them to remove their advertisement from my vehicle or start paying me for advertising for them!

Some of them are real hard to get off. I would go back to the dealer and ask them to take it off.

You should be able to peel if off by starting with a plastic pry instrument and not scratching the paint. But having stated that, some dealers you various methods. Most are easy to pry or peal off.

Dental floss to remove without scratching. Then Goo-Gone (I'm amazed out how well this stuff works) to remove any remaining adhesive.

Let the dealer take it off. I'm sure that free advertising for the dealer was not provided for in a reduced purchase price.

Man that irks me. That's totally a midwest thing, or maybe east coast, but I would NEVER accept an advertisement on my vehicle other than the license plate frame, and thankfully that's all they try to do here on the west coast (Seattle).

Back in the midwest where I'm from (Saskatchewan) they put big banners on the back windows of pickup trucks... "ANOTHER INDIAN HEAD CHEVY TRUCK". You can remove them with a scraper but they're way over the top, I can't believe anyone accepts that kind of nonsense.

Nonetheless, if it's an actual emblem, likely dental floss is your best bet. The factory emblems come off quite easily with it at least.

I shake my head whenever I see people with cars that have the dealers name on their license plate frame! It's a lot like the following:

Sent from my iPhone

I see that all the time from iPhone users and I ask them "Why are you advertising for Apple? It's not like they're paying you for it". My sister does this all the time. Never removes it. Weird...

At least my dealer just uses vinyl lettering so it is easy to remove.
I can remember in the olden days when dealers actually drilled holes in the trunk lid and attached metal plates.

if it's convenient, if not, the dental floss and goo gone suggestions work well too.

Heat gun, floss and Goo gone will do the trick. I hate dealer tags and made sure to ask them not to put it on. The dealer advised they don't put it on Vettes. They did put a dealer plate bracket on it, but that's a easier fix.

Set up a meeting with your attorney first and see what your legal options are before you use floss and a heat gun to remove it. You might have a strong enough case to put the dealership owner away for 25 to life and be awarded the entire dealership in court.

I can't believe any self respecting Dealer would stick that on a Corvette.....

I wouldn't accept anything less than the death penalty.

When I bought my GS I told them to remove the dealer sticker before I picked the car up.

Dealers up here in Ontario rarely put stickers or decals on the cars anymore, if they do anything at all it's just a licence plate frame, which is obviously very easy to remove.
