Default Show and Go with Tribute Coast to Coast (Part 1)

My wife and I left home in Tribute on Monday morning and drove to Fun Valley Resort in Colorado to visit my in-laws. This afternoon, we headed off to Moab, Utah, where we will enjoy the Arches National Park tomorrow morning before hitting the road to see some great friends in Oregon. Of course, there's a Corvette show that Tribute will be attending in Oregon on Saturday before we head back to Oklahoma next Monday morning. As you can see, Tribute is packed with everything we need...detailing supplies, show display items, and our luggage. It's Show and Go on the Road!

(Part 2 will be Tribute's trip to Corvettes at Carlisle, to Maryland and Virginia, and back to Bowling Green for the NCM's Anniversary Celebration later this month! Her first birthday will take place on the Friday of Corvettes at Carlisle!)

They don't melt in the rain...

But they sure do get nasty in it!

Entering Utah, the two lane highway to Monticello is under construction for about 21 miles. Signs say "loose gravel" and the construction zone speed limit is 40 mph (normally 65). Well, the trucks headed the opposite direction were not doing 40 and I have several large rock impacts on the driver's side of the front bumper cover that actually cut into the paint protection film. Some paint came off too in a couple of spots. No biggie...will just have to fix her up later.

Cool, I'm coming along for the rest of the trip. I'd have to tranquilize my wife and shove her body in the passenger seat to get her to do something like that with me.

Thanks for sharing your experience, some of that scenery is absolutely beautiful! Hope you can repair the scratches without too much angst. Good luck with the trip and the Corvette Show! Hope you bring home some wood. Please keep us updated with more photos. I'm living vicariously here.

Corvettes In The Park, put on by the Cascade Corvette Club, will be held in Cottage Grove this Friday night and all day Saturday.

Here are details and I just talked with their President (Jim Garboden), and there are still some openings:

http://corvettesets.weebly.com/uploa..._park_2017.pdf

I consider this the best small town Corvette show in the Pacific Northwest (typically 75-100 Corvettes in two delightful settings), and why Jagamajajaran is driving Tribute 2,000 miles to attend it.

Since it is too late to mail in the registration, Jim can be reached at: 1 (541) 683-2538.

Hope you and others choose to join us.

If your still in the area, watch that highway around MOAB. I got stopped there about 3 weeks ago for doing 82 in a 65 on a two lane stretch. Officer was a nice guy and just let me go. He was traveling towards me coming over a hill when he clocked me.
Great scenery, fun trip!

Great pictures! Thanks for sharing. To bad you couldn't hang out in Oregon for a week and catch the eclipse.
