I'm using a Makita gasoline 4-stroke unit which works well. It doesn't -sound- as powerful as the 2-strokes because it runs at half the RPM, but does the same work.
From looking at other people's pictures, though, I realized I'm not using any kind of nozzle, which I imagine would accelerate things quite a bit.

Along w/my toro electric blower I use my air compressor w/blower nozzle to blow water from around lug nuts, tail lights, mirrors and such. I find it works better and faster for blowing the water out from around those smaller/hard to get all the water out spaces.

I'm honestly curious...for all the extra $$$, what does Master Blaster do for you that the much lesser expensive leaf blowers don't?

I used to do this until I bought drying rags. So much easier.
And highway driving doesn't do it because fluid mechanics stuff. Laminar sub-layers, separation, etc.

I'm old school and have been using a chamois to dry my car for years. Today I took your thread's suggestion to heart and pulled out the old electric leaf blower. WOW! The chamois are in the garbage!
Thanks, again!!

Get a poodle...
I have a Master Blaster that was actually purchased as a dog dryer for our family of standard poodles, but it is absolutely the ticket on a car or motorcycle. So buy the wife a dog, and you have a built in excuse to get a dryer!

It uses warm, dry, filtered air with a long hose for better maneuverability. I had a hand-me-down older version, which worked OK. I presume the newer version is better, but at $400'ish, I'll stick w/my $50 240 mph Craftsman as the MB was not 8X better IMO... car value notwithstanding.

This is what I've been using for the past 12+ years.
Blows my 3 piece polished non-cleared HRE rims completely dry in seconds, the rivets and all. Never have to touch them and no water spots. Blows the taillights, emblems, door handles, mirrors and 95% of the body panels dry in minutes and leave no water spots on my black paint. It appears that the latest Craftsman electric plug in leaf blower is rated at 240mph and doubled in price from when I bought mine.

But then again I never had it in my mind to use my blaster as a leaf blower Plus I can vacuum the car out also just open BOTH doors and let it do its work. Just kidding on that one.

why do you want air? the whole idea is that the water doesn't dry on the car.
