ah, but true love
is that which remains after the smells lessen and the first time you leave it dirty because you're too tired.....then you know it's true love

Wow... this is a bizarre thread to me....
I prefer driving mine.... 48K miles on my '15.... got a Ferrari sharing the garage with the C7, I prefer driving it as well (10K a year)....
Maybe it's because I've been driving Corvettes as daily drivers for 27 years..... and have been driving sports cars since 1960.

My father told me once:
If you don't look back at your car after parking it, you bought the wrong car.

Larry/car has just chimed in and if I get the jist of his post I think he is worried that there are a bunch of "garage sitting C7 Lovers" amongst us ? LOL
I think there are quite a few of us, just a little slow of "coming out of the garage Lol.
Where the heck do you find the emoticons for these quick posts?.

Oh, my...
...DRIVE your car instead of sitting in the garage staring at it.
Have never sat in a chair ANYWHERE better than the chair behind the steering wheel.
Peace, out.

I have only 390 miles on my C7 since June 5TH 2017 so I do a lot of staring!

Hey Steve... Not too far from the truth...
last night at about 8pm Brought my vette to tune time to set it up and start some work and I was beat.. I walked upstairs to the lounge where there's a few big comfy couches TV Slot Car track bathroom dining table... I realized if Matt ever puts a shower up there I may move in lol...
this is the view from the stairs on the way up
Tell me that isn't one of the best car scenes to look at before heading off to bed everynight? Lol...

Sitting here as I type with my little blue Vette right in front of me. Hooked up a nice speaker system so my music out here sounds great. Got sprinkled on this evening on the way home, so I took some m/f towels and some Finish Kare detailing spray to it and now it sparkles again. I always look back after parking so I can better appreciate the view everybody else has as I go down the road.
Very glad to hear I'm not the only one who does the "Sit in the garage and just look at it" sort of thing.

Something tells me you wouldn't be spending that much time in the garage if you lived in FL, TX, or AZ unless it was air conditioned.

When I got my first vette, a 2012 Cyber Gray Manual, I'd keep making trips out to see it - but rather than standing outside and ogling it, I'd open the door and sit in it. As I don't have a garage, most of the time it was covered with a car cover, and I'd pick up the car cover just enough so I could open the driver's door. Sometimes I'd turn on the stereo, but most times I'd just sit, and smile. 15/20 minutes at a time. Did that for about 6 months.
Now with the 2016, I'm driving it so much, I only cover it on weekends after the weekly wash. I will do a full circle around it just about every time I walk by (which is a lot as I go back and forth by it, to the barn). But finally driving it enough as my DD, that I'm not compelled to sit in it any more when I'm not going somewhere.
