Default Temperatures: Super Sport vs AS3+ ?

We have a 2017 Z51 with the sticky Super Sports, and now a spare set of wheels/sensors with the AS3+ runflats.

I try to avoid driving in snow and salt, but we get lots of cold-but-clear-roads days in the Fall and Spring.

We know the SS will have more grip at warmer temperatures, and the AS will have more grip at colder temps.
What I'm trying to learn is the crossover temperature, where both tires will have equal grip.
Obviously, above that temp I should be running the SS and below that temp, run the AS3+.

I called Michelin today and spoke to a totally clueless woman, then a guy who could only tell me their information is that the SS get slippery below 45' and the AS get slippery below 20'. But he still didn't know the actual crossover temperature.

Based on comments here about how good the AS3+ grip even in warm weather, the crossover could be as high as 60' or as low as 40'.

If someone has a engineering contact at Michelin I can call, that would be best.
Either way, I'd like to hear your personal experiences also.

I'd put it at around 55F. This is where I find the super sports start to slip and won't warm up.

I usually switch to my winter setup when temps are consistently below 45F.

I have both sets, which I switch in November and May. My perception is that the PSS only becomes superior with pavement temps above 70º, I think the AS3+ is equal or superior at any temp below that. At anything below 60º, the AS3+ is superior.

The AS3+ is an amazingly good tire when it's hot as well, which is why so many find them a great year-round replacement. It's just not quite as good as the PSS when it's really hot.

I'm talking pavement not air temps.

Pavement temps vs air temps-

Thanks.

I'm thinking that on a bright sunny day, black asphalt could easily be 20'F warmer than air temp. Maybe more.

In the middle of the night, air and pavement temps would be pretty close.

Does anyone have any measured numbers?
