9.0 in my dry sump is the sweet spot. Doing an oil change by the dealer Wednesday, I am bringing 9 quarts of mobil 1 with a filter and $20 for the job. They are also replacing my water pump under warranty.

I had the big 500 mile oil change today and every thing went GREAT! Mobil 1 oil, correct amount. Corvette tech made comment about quality of my permanent jacking pucks. Very nice Corvette tech went out of his way to answer any questions I had. Ok now I can relax job is done. !!!

So you must mean Steve DelCostello...my main man!!

Has anyone used these ZL1 pucks with the Grand Sport? They seem to shallow to me as it appears they are very close to the same level as the side skirts. Also the 'cup' on my floor jack is deeper than the pucks defeating the purpose.

My my car is a 17 GS with the side skirts on and when I did my 500 mile oil change corvette tech when done went out of way to make a comment on the quality and how good they worked. I also checked under car to make sure everything was good there where no marks , cracks at all. I don't have floor jack to try.

I bought a set, and installed them yesterday. Very nice quality and simple to install. Thanks for the info on them.

I have also installed the pucks, only to observe my dealer has an oil change pit, therefore no jacking required. However, the pucks were useful when the tire rotation was done.

I bought the leave in place jacking pucks from RPI designs. They snap right in place. They have a video that discusses their product.

For the 500 mile oil change on our Z51, I asked the tech to put in 9 qts and give me the 10th to add at home so I could bring it up to full but not over. He was happy to do that.

When adding the extra oil at home, I had to get out my dedicated oil funnel to pour some in, looked like pouring from a full qt bottle into the dry sump tank could get messy.
