Puzzled here. For what it's worth on reading reviews on the Max 360 from Best Buy web site, from Rooster829 it seems the "K"band false alarms was very annoying. But other reviews give it 4-5 stars. Another review said you could get rid of the false alarm by switching to "auto mode" . Myself is looking for a radar detector

Totally agree. Each provides INFORMATION including some noise. Use the information wisely.

Bought my Escort 80 on the way to Chicago to pick up my new Z06 last month. Glad I did. Very easy to program and it works nicely with the Escort app.

I have a V1 I have never used a 360 but I bought my V1 in 1999 and its worked great for me, this month I had to send it in for an upgrade for some junk protector because I started getting too many false readings from all the new cars with blind sensors and such It was never a problem but all the sudden it got bad, anyway I sent it in and mine was so old they couldn't upgrade so they used mine as a trade and upgraded me to a new one for $289 so long story short my V1 lasted 18 years before needing upgrade so it seems like the cheapest $400 I ever spent. So besides being one of the best if not the best detector, the build quality is excellent and you won't have any problems with it for years to come

How old is his V1? did he do the junk detector upgrade? I just upgraded to a new one as mine was too old to upgrade and I don't have any problems anymore.

The R3 looks really good, was thinking of a max360, now I'm not sure. The R3 is presently in short supply. I do like the arrows in the 360 though. Nice to know which direction the radar is coming from.

If you really want protection. Get the ALP laser hammer and radar. It's like $2000 but all
Around protection. There is a thread that just popped up under Z06 thread I believe yesterday or today with links to a full video review of jammers etc.

After getting a $422 ticket in Paso Robles, CA going 83 in a 65 I invested in a radar detector, this is my first one. After months of research I ordered the Uniden R3 and so far very happy with it. I am now waiting for Blendmount to come out with a bracket for the R3.
