Who keeps their OnStar and Sirius XM?
My 3 month subscription runs out in Sept. Can't see why I should keep it. Who has renewed, and reasons why would be appreciated. Thanks.

I don't see any reason to stop it.
I like the music.
I like the phone link to my iPhone.
I like being able to unlock the car in an emergency.
If you don't like it Sirius/OnStar cancel.

I didn't keep ON Star, but might reconsider. I kept Sirius for a while, then cancelled. However their cancellation policy is a nightmare. Basically, you call them to cancel, they acknowledge the cancellation, then forget to cancel and bill you. You send the cancelation in writing, they lose it and continue to bill you. You don't pay the bill, they add more charges. After taking six months to finally cancel Sirius, there's no way I'll go back. Now I get 2 to 3 phone calls on two phones per day from Sirius with all kinds of discounts they wouldn't give before I cancelled. We requested that they put us on a do not call list, they forgot and continue to call. Sirius is great if you wish to continue to pay $240 a year to continue the service. If you plan on just getting it for six months and cancelling, good luck.

for 8 bucks a month I'll keep my Sirius, OnStar, not worth the 25.

OnStar, never.
I was an XMRadio subscriber since 2006? Too many other options out there at a better price point, so I just let that expire.

On Star is in basic form free for 5 years, I will pay the extra $5 a month for security plan. Car can be put in a slow speed mode. And on star can locate car if reported stolen. For $5 a month it's cheap insurance. As far Sirius I have on everyday driver and great, for my vet I may cancel
I also like the Chevrolet app on my I Phone, where ever I park my car it shows the location, I can check many things on phone if I'm not near car, tire pressure, gas in tank, etc

OnStar never used.
Sirius I like it much better than regular radio but the commercials are now just as bad as radio. I thought that was the whole reason was to be commercial free.

I ditch on both cause their overpriced and out dated.
Google Maps is going to give me more reliable directions with better traffic updates and I just need my Bluetooth connection.
Spotify or Amazon Music Unlimited is only $10 and $15 for a whole Family.
With that I can skip songs, play on my Home Stereo, Multiple Cars, Stream thru Alexa, Stream on my Amazon Tap, Stream on Sinus.
OnStar and Sirius are heading towards being the next Blockbuster or Music Store (CDs)

Since putting all of the Android Auto compatible apps on my phone, including Tune-In Radio, Spotify, I Heart Radio, Pandora, NPR One, Scanner Radio and a couple of others and linking it to the Chevy MyLink, I find I don't use Sirius XM nearly as much as I used to.
Those apps I mentioned have all of the news, comedy, talk, music and most anything else I'd ever want to listen to, all free through my phone. Tune-In Radio literally lets you listen to every radio station in the world. That plus my 4,000+ collection of songs on my micro USB drive really makes Sirius XM redundant.
I canceled my On-Star last month due to non-use. With Google hooked into Android Auto and AAA at my service, I never used it.

Dropped OnStar, kept Sirius. I like the choice of music and news and if I travel any distance the I'm never out of satellite range.

I've got both! I like the OnStar for trips and making dinner reservations. And being a radio disc jockey, you can understand why I have Sirius/XM.

One note on SiruisXM. They just added a Beatles channel O.M.G. Favorite band.
And then. I had no idea they made so many bad songs. They only play the crappy Beatles songs. And the post Beatles crappy stuff. And crappy cover stuff. So sad. That channel alone would have kept me a subscriber at full price but jeesh, what a fail.

No Onstar, but Sirius, yes. I do really long road trips, and often through the middle of nowhere. Yes I have music on the stick, but sometimes want to check the news, sports, etc.
I know there is an app for this, and app for that, but I'm a simple man, and often in stretches with NO cell service. You can keep the Sirius price down through negotiations, as mentioned above.
