When I finally fall in love with an orange color...DSOM !! and I purchase a Z51..then after only a few years..it disappears when I considered upgrading to a GS or Z06...WELL, I guess Ill keep my DSOM..this new orange tooo bright and reddish looking to me..GM should offer custom colors of old to order, for the die hard Corvette owner. Id pay a larger premium for this option.
Tired of looking at White, Black and Torch Red Vettes ...NEED SOME INTERESTING COLORS to stand out with the spectacular styling the C7 offers
I was at Carlisle when Mr.Harland Charles pulled up in a new Carbon Edition and GM rep got out of passenger side walked over to drivers side with unopened box,opened it and showed to Barbie and myself and announced that he just received the model and said it was the the new Orange but wasn't sure what would be the correct name.l have INFERNO ORANGE DUAL RACING STRIPES on my 2014 C7-Z51 coupe and it is much brighter,has metallic and appears to have PEARL,in my humble opinion I like it very much and will probably buy a new ZR1 in that color with YELLOW DUAL RACING STRIPES!

I'm sure there will be new colors for 2019 but I'm not so sure we'll see any new colors for 2018. If there was another color other than this new orange scheduled to come out for 2018 production don't you think they would have introduced it as well?
It's a low res image but I enlarged it 800% and I can't see any "obvious" metallic. I hope someone at Carlisle will report back if it's metallic or not.
The color shown is loaded with metallic, very easy to see without any magnification.
Anyone know how the color compares with the 2007 Atomic Orange? From the photos it looks a little brighter and lighter. Man I loved Atomic Orange and the way it changed to show yellower tones in the sunshine at the right angles. RIP Tiger Blossom. My daughter is driving in this pic.
