Corvettes at Carlisle: MANY PHOTOS
Just returned this evening from Corvettes at Carlisle. Beautiful cool sunny weather (as opposed to the usual humid oven). Very good turnout, though the number of vendors seemed down some and the "sale car area" continues to become more and more a dealer sale area rather than individual sellers. Always a good time to share with Corvette Club buddies. Sharing a few photos that I hope are not dupes of others. Note the "moss car" pulled from a field of vines and muck after sitting out for decades. It sold for $10,000. If the seller had charged $1.00 for each photo taken of it, he would have doubled his money! He was actually watering the moss to keep it alive. If you have not gone to C at C, well worth the trip.

Melting Slicks
Looks like those hoping for a ZR1 reveal didn't get it.

Safety Car
It did not happen though some were hopeful. i was there Friday and agree with comments that the # of parts vendors were down as i struggled but did not find parts for my C5.
Next opportunity to announce ZR1 is the Detroit Auto Show or so i heard at Carlisle

Fantastic photos, thanks.
The cut-away of the 1953 C1 reminded me of what death traps old cars were. OMG, a hard hit in that C1 would guarantee permanent disability or death. There's no protection whatsoever. At least the battleship sedans of that day had heavy-gauge steel between you and certain death.

A few more.....that one photo of the artwork of a '63 Split Window Coupe....that was a lady who made that out of car magazine snippets. It was tremendous and very clever!

Great shots! We've had a few people post some very nice pics. It's obvious I need to put Corvette at Carlisle on my agenda for next year.

Great pics!!! We just got home, and had a great time. Loved the moss car too!!!
Probably bought way too much stuff, but it was hard to resist! Lots of great vendors!
I see a smidge of our car in one of your photos. We were parked right next to the funnel cakes. Great location by the way! LOL!!!
