~Another Corvettes at Carlisle Show is in the books. Yes it's still on today but I was on site from Wednesday afternoon thru Saturday 3:30pm. I couldn't have possibly had more fun, met more Corvette enthusiasts or had better weather! The absolute best part for me were the many dozens of folks who went out of their way to come and thank me for all that I do for the Corvette hobby. I was blown away at the gratitude that was awarded me for these delivery posts, stories and throwback pics that I share each Sunday morning. It's become a right of passage sort of speak sitting down at the computer on Sunday mornings at 5:30am (after I feed and walk the dog) and compiling my weekly pics and putting a story or two together. So enjoy todays pics from the Carlisle Event I just attended along with 100,000 thousand other people, and if you've never been...get there...it's well worth it. I'm fortunate I only live 90 miles South of the Carlisle Fairgrounds but I met folks from as far away as Australia so clearly it was on their radar to attend the Worlds largest Corvette Event.

~Carlisle pics...

~Thurgood Marshall Jr and I. TJ bought his very first Corvette from me last year. I am a huge fan of his Father from his Supreme Court days.

~The Niland's of WV...first time ever that they were not wearing WVU clothes or hat! Rare sighting indeed. Great people, friends and customers.

~Todd from Spring Mountain Race Track.

~Jim B. of PA, great guy, great story teller and has owned a ton Vettes.

~Barb A., 39 years with GM and this week she is retiring from GM. We first met many years ago at the 24 hrs of Lemans Race in France. We have been best buds ever since. She will be missed by all at GM.

~Pino is going on 33...his Father is my best friend from NJ and has been buying vehicles from me before Pino was born! So yes we go way back.

~Tony Avedisian giving away the "Make a Wish Foundation" Corvette. What a great cause!

~Tux Hadler...

~Adam Boca from the Corvette Museum...looking mysterious.

~Tony A. of Tony's Corvette Restoration Shop. Been dealing with Tony since 1989 when he worked on my 1959 and '61 Corvettes. I am fortunate he lives one mile from me and his shop is two miles from me!

~Keith Cornett, the Corvette Blogger just celebrated his 12th Anniversary of the Corvette Blogger as a web site. A must read for all Corvette Enthusiasts World Wide! He started Vettefinders.com back in 1996.

~Tony S. from NJ...will never miss another Corvette Event in Carlisle for the rest of his life!!

~The Corvette Club of Puerto Rico was on site representing~

~Mike, Streetspeed 717. Youtube video's galore. Now has over 560,000 subscribers. Mike had 69,000 subscribers before he bought his Yellow Z06 from me.

~Adam of Adam's Polishes...simply the best.

~Dan Devito with Tony A. Dan has been buying vehicles from me since the early 90's. He has quite the Corvette collection!

~Former race car driver and friend, Jeff Nowicki.

~Jeremy of Cache, OK ordered his new Grand Sport from me and took delivery one year ago...now his GS is known as "Tribute", simply a must see Corvette.

~Joe F. worked on my cars from 1978-1989...I moved to Maryland and this is the first time we have seen each other since then!!

~Gentle Ben of VA.

~The gals of Annapolis have bought three Corvettes and a Colorado from me over the last few years.

~Pete Callaway with my Z06 customer, Paul A of VA.

~Reeves Callaway and I, we go back to the 1986 era from my Malcolm Konner days.

~Chris Chessnoe and I.

Now on to the real show....the Corvettes, 5,000+ of them on site.

New color announced for 2018- Sebring Orange Tintcoat...

Corvette Ed

~Touch of Class throwback pics and barn finds...

~Have a great week everyone!

Great pictures as usual, I stopped by and said hello to Mike and though he was busy at the time he was very gracious. A great ambassador for the Corvette community. Callaway rules!

Thanks for sharing the photos! It appears as though a fun time was had by all. I wish I could have made it, but job requirements & work hours got in the way once again.

Maybe after I retire, it might be possible to make it up to Carlisle.

As for a favorite picture? Too many good shots to choose just one.........but the trailered C1 with all of the dirt on it stands out - as does the "You've waited your whole life for a 'Vette" advertisement. Keep them coming!

Sorry I missed you at Carlisle.....you were either tied up or out and about each time I went by your spot. The weather was the best I had seen in about 20 years of attending. Two photos below...one is the scene where the "moss car" was found (took it from the seller's binder collection) and the second is the artwork of a nice lady....she made that from snippets from car magazines. It was awesome! Thanks.

Mike
Thanks for sharing. The photos are great; especially the '73 red T-top Vette; just like my '73 that I owned and drove daily for over 20 yrs. Brought back nice memories. Looking forward to additional weekly Vlogs.
