Default Installed The "Door Dog" Latches Today...

This is a really well made product. You can now open the door with just one finger and it opens the latch every time on the first try. This would be a great mod for someone with arthritis as well.

I can too but a lot of passengers struggle with it a bit. I think it would probably cut down on that and on fingerprints.

I never thought that opening the door was an issue for some, but apparently there's a market for this device, which is certainly good if needed.

As far as avoiding fingerprints, I'd prefer them rather than a tailgate type of lever on the door. Hopefully they're available in body colors for a more subdued appearance. Not sure why anyone would want to accentuate this piece... IMO.

I don't get it about the fingerprints. The only place I touch when opening the door is inside the recess. But still, fingerprints? There's marks all over the car if you drive it.

I would not want that sticking out of the side of my car.

Don't see the need but if it helps those that struggle with opening the door than all is good.

If that product was body colored, it might be OK. As is, it just doesn't look too attractive on the car.

It looks like something they use to ship the car.

Seeing them struggle is part of the fun of giving someone who has never been in a corvette a ride. They get a little anxious until they figure it out, but they are grinning by the time they sit down.

I tell my passengers to finger it like its a virgin, they soon feel it, and the door opens wide.

Probably a bit offensive to our female forum members. Maybe more than a bit. We'll see.

Well, apparently *someone* thinks a door handle can look cool.
Presenting the $3M Bugatti Vision Gran Turismo.

Contrasting colors work well with sports cars. I wouldn't be so quick to deride this on the Corvette without seeing it from several angles. Actually, its pretty cool...

Also, other handles are in the works.

This isn't even close to the same thing though. It really doesn't look good at all. I imagine there would be a better way to accomplish this for people that have an issue with the stock setup.

Me personally, I would NEVER do this, and would never put a modification for OTHER'S benefit. Passengers can learn to open the door as-is... sacrificing the looks of the car is an absolute no-go.

Uh, you lost me there.

You mean the Corvette is not a $3M car so it can't get away with being unique? Or, you mean the Corvette is not an Italian car?

Please explain.
