I get a kick out of these threads. There's a problem with the production of a Corvette, so right away someone wants to talk with Quality Control or Quality Assurance because we all know, they manufactured the car. Do you honestly believe QC stands over every operator on the line and watches them do their job? QC is an internal detection system. The external detection report needs to go directly to the person who is responsible for the operators who made the possible error.
If you want to have a problem corrected, call the head of production. THEY manufactured the car, not Quality Control. If we were in Japan, this thread would have started with "I want to contact the head of production", not QC because they properly differentiate the two based on responsibility.
