Black Z51 w/splitter. Now you can be judgmental
Need your opinions please. All black Z51 with stage one splitter. Since the car is black, the splitter being textured plastic, looks even greyer than it would on most other colors.
Which do you prefer? The pic with or without the splitter? I'm afraid it looks weird with, due to the color, but maybe I'm just used to the no splitter look. Thanks.

Looks better with splitter but you need to paint it black or wrap it black.
I replaced stage 1 gray with stage 2 carbon flash with full length side skirts.

Looks good as it is. I had one on my C6 but couldn't leave well enough alone. I painted it gloss black to match the car. It constantly got pitted by road debris and I had to paint it over and over.

wrong guy to ask
After my C6 GS which was so low, I went through three splitters, decided when I got my '14 just to leave well enough alone so I didn't have to wonder about speed bumps, driveway angles, etc.....looks better with but is not worth the additional worry (for me)

Thanks everyone. My whole front end is wrapped with Xpel. My thought was, have my painter buddy paint it carbon flash and clear it. The problem with that is im taking a $100 splitter, plus $150 to paint plus $150 to wrap. Becomes pretty ridiculous. Love the stage 2, but I have a Stingray, not z06/GS. Not going to do the side skirts so just the stage 2 splitter would look goofy without the skirts.
I also used the 12 factory bolts and heavy duty 2 way tape, so no extra holes drilled if I change my mind. Just went for a very spirited drive, its rock solid.

Just a FYI in case you decide you want it darker in appearance to match the black body paint...................
I did ALL of the black trim on mine, and installed a front splitter and side skirts but used Adam"s Ceramic Trim Coating on them prior to installation.............
made them darker and matte in appearance, and being coated makes cleaning a breeze..............
the Adam's Trim Coating kit is 89.99 and contains enough product to do more than one vehicle................

Thank you. I use all Adams products, but for some reason, never came across the trim coating. I'll look into that.

I think they all look better without the splitter.

Looks better with the splitter. You can apply Mother's Back to Black, or similar product, to have the black pop a little more. It'll also add some sheen to better match the bumper if that's your concern.

Thanks guys. I think there's something to what foosh said, that's why this isn't sitting quite right with me. Maybe it's because I fell in love with the 14 when it was first released and all the rockers and splitters and spoilers came after. Just the clean look of the Stingray appeals to me. Not to say you guys with the rockers and splitters don't have incredible looking vettes, I love those too, but I think I may not be happy because it's just the splitter, and I'm not doing anything else. I'll try the darkening products as you guys suggested and worst case, I'll have a new splitter to sell. Good news is, back to work tomorrow so I won't have this kind of time to dwell in a splitter.

I like the splitter and I like the color contrast from black to matte black/gray.
I have had many black cars, as many of us have, and the one thing I think that get's lost on them is detail so I like if something stands out or is different in a subtle way.

I like your car without the splitter. I don't think your car needs it. White, red, etc cars look good with the black contrast. But that's just me.
