Do you recall the 1996 Corvette Grand Sport? All were Admiral Blue, White Center Stripe, Red Fender Hash Marks, Black Wheels and either Black or Red Interior
My guess is because not everyone wants a boring combination. On my 4th Blue with red interior Vette. Will not order anything else even with the $590 GM profit option.

I wouldn't call the color combo all that rare.
It's rare because the red interior is not normally offered by GM with Admiral Blue and requires a color combination override (at extra cost). Which means you really only see it on customer ordered cars with a few exceptions.

Interesting, I was at Carlisle a couple weeks ago and seemed like every Admiral Blue C7 I saw had Adrenaline Red interior. Red's well represented over in the Admiral Blue Color thread as well.
I happen to like the color combo !!! I'd likely have a hard time convincing "The Warden" to go with it.......
In fact, 11 months ago we factory ordered, but went with white and red. Our previous Vette ( 2016 Stingray) was Laguna Blue....... we weren't too excited about the Admiral Blue.

Yes but as I posted earlier, it's rare because of the colors combined with the comp. seats and M7. GT seats with A8 dominate.
There were 77 2017 GS' in that color combo. Not the rarest GS color combo, but is down there a bit. For the GS there were only 2 Yellow with Red interior and 2 Black Rose with red.
