I have many thousands of miles in mine and I love the seats.
Perhaps you need to shed a few pounds?

Well, not entirely worthless, but I think I would appreciate pictures, preferably of the seat as modified without the cover on and of the finished version.
BTW, I'm still deciding about the seats. The butt pocket seems fine, but the side bolsters seem too narrow for someone like me who once was a cyclist and thus has actual muscle in his thighs. Given how close the center tunnel and door are, those bolsters don't seem to me to be adding much if anything to lateral support.

camro offers Recaro seating, why can't Corvette? at the Corvette price point the simple option "want more foam in one recaro-type clone? that will be $1,995" is unacceptable.

The GT seats are fantastic for me (6'2"180). They fit like a glove, and are the perfect balance of comfort and support.

I had mid-1980s Recaro LX seats in my Omni GLH and Neon Sport, and still have them as desk chairs. They are so far superior to other seats as to be scary, as in drive all day without any aches or pains. One of the differences from the C7 touring seats is that the Recaro LX seats have separate bolsters, thus you don't get the "u"-shaped transition from seat to bolster as in C7, which I think is a source of pressure on thigh muscles.
I wonder why Chevy didn't go with such a classic, elegant seat in C7. Why reinvent the wheel?
Here are sample images showing how the seat bottom (completely flat) and bolsters are separate pieces:
Oh, OP, to insert an image just click on the little icon that looks like a postcard of a mountain and follow instructions.

The Corvette is a performance car not a luxo cruiser that hauls you around like you are in your living room. The seats were designed to satisfy everybody who complained about the lack of lateral support in the C5/C6 seats. Those seats were designed around waxer demands Vs performance demands because so many waxers hated the C4 seats. We went through 17 years of lousy seats because some people complained about not fitting their wallet or bolsters were too tight on their butt.
If you look at all of the C7 reviews you will not notice much mention of the seat not holding the occupants in place. For a stock seat they do very well that way. I for one want a seat that will hold me in place when cornering at 1.4 Gs not something that lets me slide across it.

OP - thanks for sharing. This will hopefully help those that find the stock seats uncomfortable.
I love the adjustable side bolsters in my GT seats. Makes for a perfect fit.

My GT seats are very comfortable for my 5'7" 175 lbs frame. Like them a lot better than my C4,C5,C6 seats!
