What would you offer for this Vette???
Ok, so the Vette is a 2017 GS with 127 miles on it. It is new never titled and at a dealership. They have had it for close to year.
The MSRP is 84,990 and they have it listed on Autotrader for 75,890
How much would you offer for it???
And
How much would you pay??
Thanks, Gonzo

I would use all the information you were offered in three pages of the last thread you started on this car and use that information to make a decision. Starting a new thread basically throws away all the time and effort several people put into answering this question the last time. Although the last thread started out "Buy used or order?" it quickly evolved into discussing appropriate discounts. Your answer is in your previous thread. Don't ask us to do this yet again.

I do apprciate the advice everyone offered. I like the car and wanted to make an offer, and wanted to know what number people would offer. That's all, sorry if you feel it's a dupe, and appreciate all you honest feedback. Thanks, Bill

The more important question is what would be your bottom dollar amount you'd be willing to pay. You could offer $75k and they could counter....are you going to walk away? The bottom dollar amount is your walk away amount, don't budge from that....

Dealer is pricing it as brand new so you may have a hard time negotiating too much lower. 13.5% off is the best deal MacMulkin is offering on select 2017 GS's so that may be as good as it gets.

For reference - I have been eyeing a new 2017 GS 3LT for a while now stickered at 81.7K, had dealer down to 68k but I want it for 67K...no deal as of yet.

I would offer 74k and if they do not accept but come back with a counter offer lower than their asking price I would buy it. I assume it is equipped to meet all your wants and needs, color is one you want etc.
Otherwise you can chase that magic deal many forum members seem to find.

I threw out an offer of 72k....pending an inspection. Since I can't look at it myself, I would need an independent evaluation.
If you KBB it as a used car with 127 miles it say 68k. Not that it matters

Just spoke with the sales manager, he said they were firm on the price. Oh well I tried. He did say if GM offers anything additional in terms of incentives he would give me a call.
Who knows if it sits around long enough GM might throw an incentive out to move the last of the 2017's
Dang I was close lol......thanks everyone. I really appreciate all the feedback on both threads.
Cheers, Gonzo

Time is your friend. When the cold November winds blow the incentives on 17's sitting on lots will be a lot better. There also will be a good selection to pick from (without 127 test drive miles).

127 miles probably means it's been driven on at least a dozen test drives. No doubt a few folks red lined it, all during the break in period where that's a no-no.
If the dealer tries to tell you different, they are lying.

Redline is lower during the break in period, forced by the computer. Doesn't mean it may not have been driven a little hard on a few test drives, but didn't we all in the first 500. That wouldn't make or break the deal for me.
