Default Does anyone think GM will give incentives?

Do any of you think, based on history or wild *** guesses, that GM may offer any incentives on 2017 Corvettes still on the lots before the end of the year?

Yes, I think you can count on it.

I think it is more than likely, but with the plant closing it may be different this year than previous years.

Cars will be shipping again in Dec/Jan. My guess is that you'll see some incentives hitting on those 2017's come January....

If there are a significant number of 2017's around, then maybe?
Right now, at least at the big forum dealers, 2017 inventory is reasonably low - Kerbeck & Macmulkin each have less than 60 2017's.

Cars.com shows 7,889 new/used 2017's and about 7,500 if you look at just new. Plus you have 2018's piling in, there's a few truckloads sitting in Bowling Green still.

I think there's a decent inventory....

It will be interesting to see what the inventory is like in a couple of months. At old rates of sale 7500 is 2-3 month's worth. What I would REALLY like to know is the rate of ORDERED cars vs in-stock sales. I've never seen that kind of breakdown. If it's high and people must wait, sales may slow to a trickle. If it's low, they may use up existing inventory. Should be an interesting Fall.

hmmm, no production for a couple of more months, over a million cars destroyed in Texas and I'm afraid to see how many in Florida this weekend. I wouldn't count on anything major until at least 2018.

Targeted discounts of $3500 right now, like this discount on a C7 window sticker. (Click on any of the inventory that is shown to see the $3500 discount at these ohio dealerships.)

http://www.chevrolet.com/locate-a-ve...modelyear=2017

A dealer in Pa who didn't have this discount said it extended as far south as South Carolina. Said it applied to where the car was registered. ie, he could apply the $3500 discount if the out of state buyer resided in the region where it was applicable.

The Pa dealer had a $2500 coupon discount certificate from GM. Sold out but expected more certificates from GM at mid-month.

Also private offering emails sent out sept 1 for a $1000 discount on any 2017 c7. Down from the july-august private offering of a $3000 discount, or $5,000 discount on a j57 C7.

just take a look at the ads on the Chevy website. Chevy is totally unconcerned about the c7 sales/inventory at the moment. The lack of new ads blasting new discounts have dwindled to a trickle in the dealer inventory section of this c7 forum.

gonna be plenty of low mile/no mile '17 used vettes at used car dealers in the coming years, bless their greedy little hearts.

I got an email from Chevy offering several cash incentives, including 5k off towards the purchase of any 2017 Corvette with ceramic brakes.

Default yep dec/jan is when we

want to start ordering and buying corvettes in the mid-west and northeast....boy that's when we get Corvette Fever. drive thru the snow
amidst all the holiday chaos to local chevy dealership. if the parking lot has been plowed, we can go in to get warm and ask a lonesome sales person to go out and brush the snow off the corvettes and charge the batteries so we can take it for a spin(literally). hopefully with a decent incentive we buy one and some how get it home, so we can hook up the battery tender and wait until april to hopefully enjoy it! thanks GM for tapping into Corvette Fever.
