Yes, you can put a GoPro on/in the car and they will help you set it up. I don't have a GoPro, but when they asked if anyone was going to use one they mentioned that there are different kinds of mounts and one kind cannot be used. They do conveniently sell the correct kind in the gift shop. Maybe call/email the person you scheduled the course with to ask about the correct mount?

I'm heading down on the 20th track days 22nd and 23rd coming home on the 24th.
I wear glasses so sunglasses are really an option.
I will wear sneakers because that is what I'm most comfortable in
I'm bringing two sd cards just in case of failure not for amount of storage.
I may bring my laptop to review the video but bringing it leads to work while I'm away so double edge sword!
I can't wait for this event I'm disappointed that the resort is full but I will have to make the best of it.

We were running right at 100 MPH at times. Tomorrow the pace will pick up. The instructors are very positive and build your confidence, even when you crush a cone during braking exercise. We get to ride with instructors tomorrow so we can actually see/feel what our cars are capable off. Day 1
Temp was 100+, but good news for the next couple of classes, cold front moving through and temps will be 85-90*.

They also mentioned that they are buying 500 additional acres which will more than double facility and add 9 miles of track. They are already building homes around tracks and the 80 something private garages are already leased by current club members. A couple of the homes have helipads. LOL, it was all I could do to purchase my GS.
Cool place!!!

I received a great phone call today, they were able to make room for me at the resort now my wife is very happy! I almost canceled because my wife wasn't happy about staying in a hotel down the street and having to wake up early to bring me to the track.

About 2 or 3 miles from the track you'll find the Pahrump Winery, they do tastings and the restaurant is very good and reasonably priced. When you get there ask Donna about it, she has all the info.

I've been 2 times, both for 3 day advanced classes, but I just took delivery of my new 2018 ZO6 coupe, so I'll be doing the Owner's School at some point. First class operation, both the facility and staff. The condos are very nice and right on site, clubhouse is great, workout equipment and a nice pool. I've run both courses, but I prefer the older course, it's a bit more technical and has more elevation change, the newer course is a bit faster, but not quite as challenging, but that's just my opinion. I would definitely book a condo the day before, the drive from Vegas is a bit less than an hour, and the class usually starts early AM, so get a good nights rest and be ready to roll the next day. Food in the clubhouse is good, but if you want a really nice meal go to the Pahrump Winery, it's about a 10 minute drive and they also do daily tastings if you're into wine. Very nice place, run by a couple from Minnesota of all places. Even if the temps are 100+, it's a dry heat, and you'll run windows up, A/C on, and they have plenty of water and energy drinks. The driving sessions usually run about 45 minutes, followed by the same amount in the classroom. It will be the best $1,000 you've spent, so enjoy!

I'm compiling some info on Spring Mountain prices for the various cars and levels. I know buying a Stingray gets you the $1,000 level one 2-day class in a Stingray, but for those of you with a Grand Sport or Z06, how much did you pay for the 2-day level 1? Anyone with a GS or Z06 do the 3-day level 1? If so, how much did you pay?
Also, please post your prices with the Stingray, GS or Z06 for level 2. From the info I have so far, it seems GM/SM is/are not appropriately pricing the discount for the level 2 class in a GS or Z06.
EDIT: I should have been more clear -> how much did GS or Z06 owners pay AND WHAT CAR DID THEY GIVE YOU TO DRIVE? That last part is important - did you buy a GS or Z06, take the Level 1 2-day class, GET TO DRIVE A GS OR Z06, and only pay $1000, or did they make you drive a Stingray for the $1000 or offer to upcharge you to drive a GS or Z06?

Did they give you a Grand Sport or Stingray to drive in that level 1 $1000 class?

If you bought the car new, you get to attend the drivers school for $1000. If you bought a stingray, you drive a stingray, if you bought a z06, you drive a z06. Same cost.
The actual driving school itself is a whole different story.

OK, we're getting closer. Now, anyone do the 3 day level 1 (instead of the 2 day $1000 course) after buying a Grand Sport or Z06 and can post the price paid? I paid $2150 for that course in 2/2015 for a Stingray (with discount).
