My First Corvette
So I've had my car for a few weeks now and I just wanted to post my thoughts on the car so far as a first time Corvette owner. It was my 50th birthday this year and I wanted to get myself a present. I had a 2011 Camaro SS convertible prior and was considering the new ZL1, but the Corvette's targa top won me over. Being able to take the top off and yet still have a hard top for track days was a big selling point for me.
Anyway, I ordered my dream car when the window for the 2018s opened up. I got a 2018 Z06 with the Z07 package M7. It is Watkins Glen Gray with Cyber Gray full lenght stripes on the outside and Kalahari with sport seats on the inside (3LZ).
Since purchasing the car I've had Xpel put on the front and behind the rear wheels. I've tinted the windows with 3m Ceramic and tinted the marker lights. Also did a full ceramic coating.
Before purchasing the car I joined the forum to gather info. I have to say I was a little taken aback by all the complaining and problems reported, but I figured that is kinda what people do on forums. Most people don't post unless then need help resolving some issue or are seeking help with mods and stuff. People don't normally post just to say how great they think the car is
My experience has been that this car is way more than I had even hoped. There are so many cool things about the car that I didn't think I would care much about. I love the selective ride modes! It is great to be able to set it in eco or tour and have the car nice and quiet on the freeway and ride nice and smooth. The put it in sport and hear the exhaust and feel the firm ride. I really like the infotainment system and stereo. Android auto is great! One minor grip is that I have all my music on a usb stick and the system was not able to index it all, I guess I have too large a collection.
I've had no issues with the car so far, but only have just over 1000 miles on it. The paint was flawless from the factory, my detailer did the ceramic coat this past weekend and couldn't find any issues. I'm looking forward to the Ron Fellows school in November and some track days at Chuckwalla and Willow Springs after that.
Here's some photos of my ride after the ceramic coat. The paint looks like a mirror, so cool

Beautiful Z06 and what a mansion you have! 3LZ and comp seats and all the carbon you went all out!

Thanks again, I'm glad you like the photos.
I forgot to mention, I also had the ProTEKt spliter protector installed. Mitch used my car to prototype a protector for the Z07 package. He is very meticulous though and wasn't happy with the prototype installed on my car, so I'm not sure you can get a full width one for the stage 3 aero end caps yet. I think it looks fine and works great! I would highly recommend his products to anyone!

Nice color combination. I'm not into the center racing stripe, but I wouldn't change your car's paint scheme ever, that's beautiful.
Of course, I'm biased as I really like Gray Corvettes.
