Default Parking at hotel. Car cover or not?

Just curious if when you are traveling in your C7, if you use a car cover at a hotel parking lot, or just leave the vette uncovered.

I guess for me it would totally depend on the hotel and the situation. My criteria is to find a nice close-in end spot, but one where I could also blend in and not stand out. In that situation I wouldn't use a cover unless it was under a tree like a Live Oak that drops debris constantly.

I would not mainly cause I won't want to cover dirty car more chances of scratches.

No, it just invites attention . . . one of many examples of how "curiosity killed the cat."

Draws too much unwanted attention... just park in a well lit spot and call it a day

AS stated above, putting a cover on her will sometimes attract more attention than I would want. Also I would never park under-by a balcony, don't need a cold one getting knocked over the rails.

I also don't see the need for a car cover. During winter storage a little bit of dust on the paint won't hurt it, and just makes it a pain for those times when you want to take it out for a spin.

Absolutely not, unless you want a bunch of strangers lifting the cover to see what is so precious.

There is one reason to use a cover and that is to protect the sides from careless people with suitcases and bags walking by. Have had it happen!

If I have room to bring the cover I would use it if I am staying for more than one night. For a one night stay probably not but I do try to park in an area where it is well lit and away from other cars.

My feeling too. And, if you cover a dirty car, then the inside of the cover gets dirty too, which causes further problems.

I either valet it or park in a well - lit spot.

Not enough room to bring it, anyway.

I always bring it and always use it when not in valet or if I cannot tip my way for it too be kept up front. Beyond that I am one of those blessed to use my C7 (2nd one) as a daily driver and due to some unknown chemical being used and airborne, I cover my car everyday with the factory cover.
For those to busy telling those of us that do cover their cars how many more scratches there will be , if you want to know my experience there are no bevy of scratches that occur as a result of this practice.I wipe my car off every night regardless of the weather with an excellent Duragloss product so I see any new or hard to see blem that shows up...best way to know what the road is doing to your car is too wipe it down....not trying to cause an argument...just stating my experience with my 5th corvette and 2nd C7...get a quality cover !!

No cover for me. Depending on the hotel (location, amenities, etc.) I'll either find a nice corner/end spot under a light or use valet and tip both the drop-off and pick-up drivers nicely to encourage care (if you ask sometimes they'll let you park and then go get the car yourself). My favorite valet lot of all time was at a casino with barbed wire fence and security cameras surrounding the valet area

The only time my Corvette is out of my sight is when it's in my garage. Otherwise, it's either parked within my direct line of sight or being driven.

No Cover. In addition to what everyone said, I just don't want to mess around with a soaked cover because of a over night rain or heavy dew all over the cover. Just to messy and a big hassle.

Scratched by dirt taking it on/off* and "lookey-lous" who can't resist the urge to see what's underneath is enough to just park it and leave it.
(* And not have to duragloss it everytime the cover goes on)
