2013 C6 GS or 2014 C7
For the last few months I have been shopping for a 2013 C6 GS. However, The asking price of them seems to be around mid 30s to low 40s for a 2013. Recently I've noticed 2014 showing up in the high 30s to low 40s.
I don't really have a preference other than I want a newer car.
What would you guys recommend? Seems the C7 jump would be the right choice. I personally think these 2013 GS are overpriced.

I think you nailed it. Get the C7 it is better in every way compared to the C6.

I've got to go with the C7. If you haven't, drive one. The choice will be self evident after a ride.

C6 is a good car though, I personally don't like the first year. With the Corvette and an auto you also get the 6 speed not the 8 speed. C6 is dated somewhat but we are talking about a 12 year old design vs 3 year old.
Yes, the C7 is more advanced technically but for below $40k you are looking at a base C7 vs a loaded C6 GS. I would have to consider the color and options.
And I don't have the C6 that is in the avatar and actually looking to buy a C7 or C8 in the next couple of years. I guess when the C8 comes out C7 owners will have "dated" cars.

I posted a similar posting on the C6 forum, There I've been told the 2014 has issues with engine fuel management, transmission issues and so on.
Do Any of the C7 owners tell me about any of this issues

16 Vettes and counting…..
You can't go wrong with either car....it just depends on what you like.
I went from a a C6 vert to a C7 coupe, and I was torn about selling my C6 GS. When a buyer came along that offered me more than I paid for it three years earlier, I couldn't pass that up. If that hadn't happened, I'd still be driving it.
I honestly don't think the C7 is better looking than the C6...they are different.....two of the best looking Corvette designs. The C7, imho, is a more aggressive and (front engined) Ferrari-esque look, but not as clean and classic as the C6.
Looks aside, the C7 is a far superior car on all fronts. After living with both, I could never again be satisfied with a C6. Different animal. Performance, ergonomics, and quality of my 2017 is major jump.
Be careful with the 14's and 15's, though. All of the ones I looked at a couple of years ago suffered from varying degrees of bad paint and poor panel fitment. Some were merely unacceptable for a car in that price range, and some were just abominable.
By the time I was ready to order a new GS, they seemed to have gotten their act together paint and fitment-wise, so I have no complaints. This is by far the best Corvette I've ever owned.

I had a 12 GS daily for 3 years and went to a 14 Z51 daily that I've had for a year. Drag race both.
The GS was fun, I still miss it but the interior sucked. I felt connected to the road at all times. Best car I've ever driven in the rain.
The C7 has a far superior interior but I still do not feel comfortable in it like I did the GS. May be the electric assist steering and the seats...just something off about it to me.
Test drive each is the best thing I can say to you.

I had a 2008 C6, 2011 C6 GS, 2014 C7 Base and now a 2018 GS.
The C6 was a good step up from the C5, but the C7 is a pretty big leap from the C6.
To me, when I see a C6 driving around, the first thing that comes to mind is how "dated" it looks. With 2012-2013 C6 GS's selling for only $5-8,000 less than 2014-15 C7's, I can't see the point of buying a C6.
I personally think that the narrow body C7 Base (w/o the rear spoiler) is the best looking C7 - it has that smooth Ferrari (Italian) styling; but I know my view is in the minority, as most prefer the Z07 look (with all its aero add-ons) on the GS & Z06.
