The A6 transmission is well-known to be virtually trouble-free. I can't even begin to tell you the number of compliments I get with this car, especially the color. While I don't have the higher performance level of a Z06, I find I don't miss it. Enjoy your car, and don't forget to wave!

I almost purchased a limerock green just like this from Sewell in dallas. I went in to make an offer and it sold the previous evening. I was bummed. ...but it worked out in the end.

Default Just bought 78 of 500 Premiere Edition 2014

[QUOTE=mmorse;1595599140]i just bought my friends premier edition c7. since it's an early c7, other than the overheating issue, is there anything else i need to be aware of regarding issues with early c7s? couldn't seem to find much doing a search.[/QUOTE
It has been working just fine after my first 1000 miles. It had about 20k. I hate NOT driving it. I make about every excuse to take it out.!

Second owner of #380 here

So far mine hasn't suffered from the overheating / fan relay problem. If you start to feel a vibration under braking these early Z51 had a TSB about the fake two-piece rotors warping - I had to replace mine after 3 track events. I use a windshield sun shade to protect the leather dash from bubbling up since that is a common problem.

Only minor issues so far: the microfiber on the driver's door is bubbling up from using my elbow to push it open. Had a backup lamp switch failure and a loose connector at the HMI causing random infotainment black outs. My SiriusXM antenna died and the rear passenger side clearance light failed. Cosmetically the hood stinger stripe is deteriorating and the transparent top is crazing from being in the FL sun. Everything to this point has been an easy DIY fix.

33K in mileage at this point and runs perfectly, no complaints at all

Good luck and enjoy

On my 3rd C7, 2nd A8...while I know there has been TC issues, which I also encountered on my 16 (Z51 Pkg.) as evidenced by the shudder and wild RPM swings. Dealer took it, gave me a courtesy car and was back in 2 days....far from a nightmare ...inconvenient sure but not a nightmare in my book.
