Is the big and small rear wing on the future C7 ZR1 too big for you to buy a ZR1?

Are the rear wings on the new C7 ZR1 to big to stop you from buying one? I for one would say yes they are to big and I could never feel comfortable driving one with those size rear wings.

If I could afford one I would realize its a functioning wing on whats going to be a beast of a car. Its not like a wing on a ricer you see all the time. So I would buy one for sure.

I prefer the larger wing. However, I don't align with the typical Corvette demographic.
At least it's safe to assume that quality will be the same as we're used to. They can't even keep the rear reflector from falling off the test car.

I don't even like the size of the wings on the GS/Z model now, so this much larger wing would definitely be a no go for me. I like the Z51 spoiler the best (although the rare wing spoiler is also pretty cool!)

I could possibly live with the one that is on the Convertible picture, but not the first one pictured on the Coupe. With that said, I would much prefer the Stage 1 rear spoiler on the GS/Z06 to any of them.

The high wing zr1 is a must-buy. If you don't want a wing I am sure Chevy will allow you to opt out. Worst case you can buy 1 of the 6 other Corvette versions offered over the past 4 years. Let the track guys have their car; you already have yours.

Not a fan of either, but the smaller wing is acceptable. The larger wing will be geared toward those who track, or those who want to look like they track.

While I really, really don't like the looks, I'm sure it's very functional for Track Rats. If I had to bet, I'd guess it's removable for folks that just want (and can afford) the fastest Corvette ever made to go on road trips...

If I had the means and opportunity to buy a ZR1 -- the big wing, while not my favorite feature, wouldn't stop me.
As has been said, it's factory installed, not some aftermarket add-on, and that makes it ok for me. As long as the engine is strong enough to cash the check that the wing is writing!

The avg. Joe would probably think it was a regular vette that someone riced out-not a ZR1. I, for one, think it is flat out ugly and it would be deal breaker if I had the bucks for one.

In the first picture, it may be the angle, but it looks like it would block a significant portion of the center rear view.
I've driven several vehicles with crummy rear visibility (my Hot Rod included) and it always amazed me how the "boy ricer" crowd would install a park bench centered in the field of view of the rear view mirror.
Hence I'm jealously guard against any reduction of a limited rear visibility.
I would like to believe GM has a better grasp of those sorts of things than the average 16 year old, but it looks off (a touch low) in the picture.

I like it as it gives you something to support those 16 foot long 2 X 6's and something to tie them to. Just strapping them to the roof doesn't work very well when there is no wing to support them.
That's what I hated about all the other Corvettes I've owned, Worthless to run to the lumber store for a house remodeling project. Glad to see GM thinking outside the box for once.
How about a base model with no front splitter or a rear wing(or spoiler)

Do not track so have a question. I know the wing & splitter provides downforce, but also slows you down to a small degree. So how does this benefit driving on a road course where speed is limited to maybe 175 mph? I could see it on a oval track where you could let it rip like the big boys on TV. But with this much HP (ZR1) do you really need the downforce on road courses? Hope this doesn't get folks mad, just curious.
