Default Painted Stitching in Z06

Have seen several threads from others who have done this so thought I would post my project as well. Very cheap mod, but is time consuming. Probably took me about 4 hours total because I had to do it twice.

I started out using the Marvy Uchida Red Fabric Markers. The color ended up looking more pink than red. So, I bought a few Stained by Sharpie Red markers and re-did it with much better results. I am just hoping it looks this good in month. It stays in my garage so I cannot imagine it will fade.

Made a real dramatic difference in my interior. I installed the Red LED Footwell lights which also have made a huge difference. Tried a red cupholder light but it was just to bright and distracting so I took it out.

Before and after photos. The camera lightened some of the after photos. the red is darker in person.

Used a "Stained by Sharpie" Bought it at Hobby Lobby. Its used for coloring fabric. I have heard of others using a regular Sharpie but I preferred using something that I felt would not fade as easy.

Just apply to the stitch and after you do a row use a dry towel to wipe off the excess marker. May need a damp cloth as well to get off more stingy marker that is not wanting to come off as easy. As long as you wipe the excess off within 5 minutes it easily comes off the leather.

It's looks good as it has on others posted!
I just wonder how well the color is going to hold up.
I guess if it doesn't you can just keep redoing it.
