Nice pissing match there, guys. Congrats. I just buy the highest octane I can and not worry about it. Right now in Nevada I cannot get higher than 91. At home I can get 93. I really have little control over what is easily available on the highway.

A pissing match would be when there is no substance to the discussion. Nowhere in this thread was that the case.
Just to clarify.

That's what I was thinking. Both my supercharged daily driver and my C6 Z06 REQUIRE premium and I've driven in 40 of the lower 48 states, so I have a pretty good idea where 93 is and 91 is to be found. Lots of states don't have 93 available.
Even though I can get 93 here in Springfield, that's not the norm in Missouri. When I had my Z06 tuned I had them tune it for 91 as I drive all over the country and 93 can be very difficult to find.

It is common out west to not see 93 octane. You wont in Utah also. Maybe Las Vegas and Phoenix. Altitude takes care of the higher octane requirement. In Utah we have 85 octane as regular. I still use 88 on my normal gas cars and 91 for those that require premium.

Well, I guess the good news for Florida corvette owners dwellers is...when fuel was short and everyone
was getting out of Dodge...AKA IRMA...many complained all that was left was 93 premium.
So..if you wanted gas...it was here ya go..!

I would suggest hitting stations that are on main highways. Gas companies are ensuring they have all grades. Also Quicktrip and RaceTrac have availability finders for different grades on their websites.

Only thing I found was for ethanol free gasoline(but no octane listed) availability.

A number of QuikTrips in Dallas are shutting down to ensure that other QuikTrips will have fuel available. Use the QuikTrip app store locator function for up-to-the-minute gas availability details. For a list of QuikTrips with fuel available today, see the list on QuikTrip’s website here or see their list below, updated as of Friday around noon

What is better for running hard in the Z06. 92 with 10% ethanol or 91 with 0% ethanol?

Most of the year I run 93 octane from Shell in my Z06 but probably later next month (depending upon how the weather changes) I will run a few tanks of 91 ethanol free to get it ready for hibernation. I would run 93 ethanol free if it was available in the are.

I usually stick to Quik Trip. I've had to gas up 3 times since Harvey, only 1 of those times QT was out of mid and premium.
I'm in Lewisville.

The car will not run as well on 87 octane vs. 91+. You will lose a LOT of performance and the car will run rougher. IMO, a corvette on low octane is no fun at all.

Go up in the mountains. At higher altitudes, a normally-aspirated engine can't produce enough manifold pressure to require Premium, mid-grade works fine. If you go higher still, you may find that even mid-grade is unavailable, only Regular. I've been there, done that.
Of course, if you fill up at altitude and then go lower, you will be under-octaned. And if you have a supercharged/turbocharged engine with a good enough blower, you may need premium at any altitude where there are still paved roads.
