Default Is it possible to get a deal on tires for a 2017 Grand Sport?

Hello All. I have 2 questions. First question is why are
PILOT SUPER SPORT ZP
more expensive than the Pilot Sport Cup 2 ZP? Also not that I expect tires for this car to be cheap but is there anywhere I can get even a small deal on them? I know I can just go on tire rack and order up but I thought to at least make an inquiry here.

Right now I am running the PILOT SUPER SPORT ZP and I prefer to run them just because its what came stock with the my 2017 Grand Sport 1LT. I'm a big fan of keeping things stock but maybe the CUP2 might be worth a try??? Thoughts on the cup2's?

Cup 2? I won't say but I wouldn't buy them.
The MPSS I just bought 4 for 1870 mounted and balanced.

The Cup2 were higher priced until earlier this year and then Michelin dropped the price on them. You don't want them if you aren't going to the track. They are close to a slick with softer rubber than the PSS ZP and have minimal tread depth. Now if you want to set some fast laps around a track they do pretty good.

You'll be replacing the Cups at least twice as often as the PSS, so you won't be saving any money.

I bought a set of pilot super sport ZP for my 2015 Z06 from Discount Tire during their promo sale which are usually every holiday weekend. Paid $1650 less $190 rebate delivered.

I got 23,000 miles out of my 1st set and still had enough to go another 2,000

Cup tires start out with a lot less tread around 6/32 I think.

Print and take the Tire Rack price to a competent local Tire Dealer! They may match.

Also look up your local Tire Rack installers on their website. In my case it is the local 12 bay Firestone dealer, the only one in town I trusted to change wide, low profile run flats (Discount Tire just came into town and I have checked their capability and will use them as well.)

In the case of Firestone, their install/balance price is published on the Net. They are happy to install tires I get set to my home from Tire Rack. They installed Pirelli's I bought for the wife's Cayenne and were happy to do it.

For my C6 they matched the Tire Rack price but I had to pay state sales tax-only fair!

Cup Tires: Just look at the tire! They appeared worn on a new Vette in the showroom!

Got a quote for Pilot Super Sport ZP's from Discount Tire and no one could come close to their price. Give them a call.

There are no Discount Tire Stores in the eastern US from southern Virginia to Maine, population 80 million.

We're pretty much stuck with Tire Rack for the lowest prices. I've never had any success getting a local dealer to match Tire Rack, but I do try every time I'm in the market for a new set of tires.

How about mounted and balanced and with road hazard. The current rebate is 70.00 then 30.00 if you open a discount card.
Great price!

I am lucky in that I work just miles from a major Tire Rack distribution warehouse. I order the tires online and then pick them up and there is no shipping cost.

No Discount Tire stores here, but I wish there was.
