Default Just can't do it

I need some motivation. I have been looking for just the right C7 for going on two years now. I started out looking at 2014 2LT Z51s and graduated into looking at Z06s. Now that I found my perfect car, I can't sign on the dotted line. I found a certified used 2016 2LZ Z06 with comp seats and negotiated down to $71,500. Someone tell me that I'm a moron and it is only money.

↑ I've said it before and it bears saying again...you have zero compassion.

The guys looking for camaraderie and a little assurance from current Vette owners that regret isn't the second emotion after joy when buying these cars.

Lighten up a bit would ya.

Your punctuation and grammar are decent, so you are probably not a moron. It is a very big nut for most, but it IS only money. I started looking in 2010 with the C6 GS. The longer I looked the higher up the ladder I went. Factory ordered a 16Z06 2LZ w/ Comp seats in 2016. The down payment and monthly were tough to swallow at first but I could care less now. Smiles per dollar incredibly high. No brainer if you can afford it. Couple photos of the beast, love it!

I agree with others. You’ve finally found what you want, so quit screwin’ around and pull the trigger. The hardest part will be trying to wipe that huge SH- - eating grin off your face every time you roll into only about half throttle. DO IT !!!!!

I just do not understand these kinds of posts. Either buy one or don't. This forum is not a 12 step program. We are not counselors. All the information on the car is available on the internet for your perusal and research. Do it.

If you want it (obviously putting 2 years effort into it, you do) and can afford it, just buy the thing. As far as the price goes, try to get the most you can for the money, but if you've found 'the one' then again; BUY IT!!!!!!

I thought about c7 all day everyday after looking at the ZO6 official picture thread. 8 months later ( 3 weeks ago finally got one ). First questioned myself when I realized how much I loved my Camaro. ( Camaro loud and fast ). After driving C7 for a couple weeks. Fell in love with the comfort and Safe feel of the Corvette. Handling is incredible, braking is insane perfect. No matter how much you spend you will not regret it.

wth are you waiting for? that was a real eye opener for me. you only have a finite amount of time on this planet. enjoy it.

Have you anything better to do with the money? Only you can answer that. All the best!

None of us know your financial situation. Is your hesitation due to finances, etc? If you can easily afford the car then it seems like you should buy it. Since it's used and a good spec, even if you drive it a few years you would likely lose a little money but nothing crazy.

This.

After losing a close friend in his 20's and then my mother passing at age 60.....i decided it was time i stopped hoarding my money and started enjoying it more a few years ago..... last year bought my dream car(LP640 Murcielago) and my only regret was I had not done it sooner. None of us are promised tomorrow.

Here's another approach...which of these two scenarios is likely to make you feel better (or worse) when you wake up in the morning:

1. Money gone, but the self-described perfect car, the one you've been working towards for two years, is sitting in your garage waiting on you to come drive it.

2. Money still safe and sound in the bank, but the perfect car is nowhere to be found, because it was bought by someone else.

You're a lucky man to have found a pre-owned C7 just as you want it, at the right price. Just do it! You're not a moron - just an informed, patient C7 shopper/enthusiast!

Go for it. You. Will. Not. Regret. It.

Once you get behind the wheel of your own Corvette out on the road, you'll wonder what took you so long.

Life is short. As I sat at a diner one night with my wife in April of 2016 (first drive of the season after a long winter in our 1LE Camaro) a gentleman (had to be in his 80s) pulled up outside in a black C7. No passenger, just him struggling for some time to exit the vehicle. As I looked out at him, I looked across the table and thought "life's too short, I'm young and healthy and my best friend is here by my side. Time to make my childhood dream a reality as we'll both enjoy it".
You don't need a Corvette, and neither do I, but you only live once. Enjoy it.

You've been searching for 2 years? Sounds like you want one. Buy it.
