Default Placed my order!

On 6/20/18 I placed an order for a 2019 Grand sport with MacMulkin in NH. Excited! On 6/26/18 they informed me that my order was accepted by Production Control, status 3000. Thank you for explaining the process. Never ordered before always picked from their stock. When do you think I’ll get my next update? When should I expect the dealership to allow me to pick up my car? Thanks again.

You should be able to get your TPW (Target Production Week) now (or very soon). Since there are very frequent shipments to MacMulkin (and they go by truck, not rail) you will probably have it within 2 weeks of your TPW.

I got my TPW. AUGUST 13, 2018. Still can’t wait to see it.

Can you or has anyone ever ordered a car from one dealer and had it delivered to one closer to you?
Thanks

Yes, it is called a courtesy delivery. Dealers are not required to perform courtesy deliveries. A courtesy delivery must be part of the order so that Chevy knows where to ship the car. Depending what your order status is, it may be too late to add a courtesy delivery.. If the courtesy delivery can't be added, you can pay to have the car shipped from the selling dealer to you (recommend using a closed transport).

Thanks, I’ll ask . If it delays getting the car I’ll just go get it, where ever it is. The sooner the better. Waiting was never my strong suit. Thanks again.

Default Vin?

At what point during the order/ build process does the vehicle gain a VIN?

Once it gets to Event Status Code 3800 (vehicle produced) is when the VIN is assigned.

My timeline:
Ordered: 5/22/18
TPW Assigned: 5/30/18 (w/ a TPW of 7/9/2018)
VIN assigned: 7/14/2018
Delivery: still awaiting delivery

My timeline may be a bit longer than some due to the 2 weeks that the plant was shut down 6/24-7/7 for summer break.

At status 3000 a TPW is issued, whats the difference between that and 3300?

Is 3300 when the date truly becomes real?

The problem is there is no set timeline you can rely on and no rhyme or reason to when things progress which is difficult for financing as you mentioned above. Of note, my wife has a Jeep on order and it’s even worse, not a clue as to when we will get her car...so it’s an industry wide issue...a shame in this day and age with so much information that the second most expensive purchase most people make (house being first) is shrouded in such a fog of no concrete info.

I’m at 3300 with a TPW so I think I’m safe to assume it’s going to happen when they say now...

Default C7 order process needs work

I have been trying to get a C7 LT1 Stingray priced for two years now. I do a build sheet and ask for a final price and get BS. I contacted at least 10 local dealers around the Philly Baltimore area. the dealers just don't want to take orders only sell inventory. I want a base model in blue with all the stingray badging and magnetic suspension with auto 8 sp. its very disturbing and I reported this to GM twice. see what happen this time around.

I just received my TPW a couple of days ago, its 8-27.. I ordered mine on 7-24... It only took about 8 days to get to status 3300. Hopefully I will have it by mid September at the latest.I ordered mine through Mac Mulkin.

Wow..I don’t think anyone has gone that quickly, usually it’s MONTHS.

They must have had an allocation that someone backed out on or something....doesn’t matter...good luck to you!
