Default Red accents for basic black interior pics?

I bought the basic interior 2018 Z06 and want to dress it up. Anybody put red mats or handles or other red accent parts and have some pics I can see?

Thanks,
Tom

Here you go Tom. I considered many options, but since the only red are the calipers on the outside, I wanted very minimal red on the all black interior as well.

That looks awesome! Nice touch and beautiful Z!! Deep color too. Special wax or detail spray?

Z, but not a 06, a 51 lol.

I brought it home last year and while still brand new, put about 30 hours of work into paint correction and then ceramic coated the entire car, including the wheels. Then had the entire front, rockers and mirrors wrapped with XPEL. Pain in the rear to start with, but made life so much easier. When dusty, I kick on my 1650 PSI power washer and finish by blowing off with a blower. The goal is not to touch the paint with wash mitts or towels.
If you decide on seatbelts, reach out. Will gladly share some tips and tricks

Have you considered dying your stitching a different color? It is a subtle but classy modification and very inexpensive too, just need to buy a fabric marker for a few bucks.

Like the red belts, did you dye or replace? Interested in doing the same on my ride. Thanks

No dye sir, replaced with OEM Corvette belts. DIY project, but limited room to work, so not hard, but time consuming.

I did red mats, console lid and seat covers in my 2017 GS.

Wrinkles should smooth out over time. Overall I'm very pleased with the results.

Good luck with whatever you choose. I personally like the way the red pops.

ok, that's brilliant! What brand marker and what color did that? Looks pro! Does it smear or wear off in spots?

I followed jagamajajaran's recommendation from his thread here. I've put about 4k miles on my car since this mod and the dyed stitching looks great everywhere except for the parts where my thumbs touch the steering wheel. I always drive with my hands at 10 and 2 and I have sweaty palms so the stitching in that area is looks more pink than red now. You won't notice if you're not looking for it and it is simple enough to reapply if needed. Took me about two hours to get two coats of dye on the stitching and you have to be flexible to reach some areas, like where the dash meets the windshield, otherwise it is fairly simple to do.

Tom, my '16 is a 1LT that came with the seats as the only color. I just checked all of our forum vendors, and bought from the one that had the best price plus shipping at the time. I added the console lid, the side panel, and since this pic have added the dash pad, and hand grip. I then bought a red Marvy permanent cloth dye marker, and dyed the stitching. The interior parts prices aren't for the faint of heart as they are quite pricey, but the outcome was well worth it to me.

FYI: If you decide to go this route I humbly suggest you call the vendor you are ordering from to make sure you get the 2LT trim level parts. The 3LT trim comes with an ungraded leather, and a different pattern. While some 2LT parts cost an arm and a leg, the 3LT parts cost that plus you'll have to throw one of your family jewels into the mix.

Absolutely Gorgeous! I too have these being installed this Friday. Can't wait!! They'll pop this nice. Pretty much same car (got my '17 in September) except I swapped out the black wheels!

Did a little upgrade this winter. Not the best pic, car’s in storage, but swapped to comp seats. A little more detail here and there.

I would like to switch out the black seat belts in my Stingray with the red ones. Does anyone have a tutorial on how to do it? Also, where's the best place to buy the red seat belt?

Tutorial, I don’t know where to find that, but I did the work myself. You need to first remove the the halo piece, followed the trim pieces I marked in my pics, in that order. It’s not hard, but time consuming. Take off the roof as you will need every inch of room in that cramped interior. It was also an excuse to dynamat a few areas.

Thanks for the pics. As soon as I find the best online price for a set of the red seat belts I will be tackling this project. Good idea about the about the sound deadening material, I'll be picking some of that stuff up as well.
